The mention of lack of new handicapping ideas in another thread brought about this post. There are new handicapping ideas, only they are not in a book. They are in the software and mind of Dave Schwartz. The man is amazing.
His mind came up ways for the adoption and usage of synthetic pace that are unique. Now he has come up with a pace tool that is like a roadmap. It is a different way to calculate and use synthetic pace, composite factors and conventional pace. Then he tied that up with artificial intelligence. Now he is tying it all together with databases and modeling done automatically for each of today’s race conditions. Best of all each person has control of the options for using all this stuff. That means that the final selections will vary among the users because we write our own handicapping rules into the software. Are you lost well do not worry about it, because Dave wrote analysis tools into the program.
It is not only new and different but it works. The man continues to teach us new and different ways to handicap race horses.
Actually he is a genius. A handicapping genius.

Slider,

Please go easy on that genius stuff!!!! Though I agree that the newest version of HSH is the best yet, we have to keep Dave humble. It's the only way to get him to agree to add all those special custom features that we keep requesting (I've got a list). So say nice things, but avoid the G word.

Dick,
