The mention of lack of new handicapping ideas in another thread brought about this post. There are new handicapping ideas, only they are not in a book. They are in the software and mind of Dave Schwartz. The man is amazing.
His mind came up ways for the adoption and usage of synthetic pace that are unique. Now he has come up with a pace tool that is like a roadmap. It is a different way to calculate and use synthetic pace, composite factors and conventional pace. Then he tied that up with artificial intelligence. Now he is tying it all together with databases and modeling done automatically for each of today’s race conditions. Best of all each person has control of the options for using all this stuff. That means that the final selections will vary among the users because we write our own handicapping rules into the software.
