Is there a web site that has information regarding the health (or lack thereof) of a horse?

Say you have a horse coming back after a 200+ day layoff. Any way of knowing why the horse was off for so long to begin with?

No, its all secretive information, not a heck of a lot of transparency in horse racing. Don't expect racing "journalists" to uncover the true story either, they're too busy "making nice" so they can get free doughnuts and coffee in the press box.

Do you want to know what time the horse was fed every day too and also what time he poops and how large it is?

go find the horse's groom and ask him. Those guys will usually tell you what you need to know. Bring beer and you will get more info.

No, but i wouldnt mind knowing which horse had throat surgery, which horse got his lasix dose upped to a higher level and what kind of 'operation' or procedure prevented a horse from missing 6 months or a year. I also wouldnt mind hearing that a horse has been living with a toothache and now its all better and i wouldnt mind knowing that a horse had a back problem and they had a specialist come in and work on his back and now he's moving much better while jogging and training. I dont think i would mind knowing which horses were recently heel nerved and which horses have recently had shock wave therapy and or hyperbaric therapy added to their regimen.

The poop? Not so much. :D

Exactly. Its for their eyes and pockets only and what ends up happening is that anyone betting into the pools is essentially betting against people who have this info......its an edge, however slight, that gamblers are giving up.

They are paying for it.

The idea that owners are cleaning up at the windows based on inside info is not true in 98% of the cases.
