54-1 wins Race 1 and a 69-1 shot wins race 2!

DD parlay? Aprox 7,700 for 2 bucks.

Real payout? 1,400.

You have to take into account that the DD pools there are between $2,500 and $4,500.

i'm going to boycott the chuck because they are a penn gaming track and they are trying to cripple Pennsylvania horseplayers by taking away our rebates.

my next step might be lobbying our state government to take away the slots money that drove msw purses at pen from like 10k to 35k and to put those $ towards something useful like fixing our horrible roads and bridges for starters.

Yes, that's a factor. I think the pool was 6,121 so you figure there was 6 bucks on the winning combo.

Wizz "they" had the double..

Yes they did.......in fairness to Charlestown which I wish nothing but financial ruins for them I was there for a audition in April of 2012 and the "racing section" of the casino did a good deed...

A 47/1 wins a race and as soon as they hit the wire the announcer said "ladies and gentlemen in the next race the 3,4 and 8 are not covered in doubles please hold all tickets

With that said I still hope the corporations turns into Enron

Not sure about the rebates but Hollywood gaming took away $7000 from a yearly salery with one swoop of the pen....I took the contract and slid it back to the hr director....

Very easily could have did a Lou brown from major league and pissed on it

see ray2000's my adw dumped me thread in adw section.

http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107412

i think the p.a. horsemen are responsible for this and not necessarily pen gaming or parx. ten percent source market fee on adw's for bets coming from p.a. residents. SLOTS drove msw purses at pen from like 8-10k to 35k+, but it isn't enough.

could you please elaborate on this?

Sure......got shift manager job at perryville casino which was labeled fulltime floor they only had 3 of those positions....

Was offered 49000 which was ok only cuz I was only gonna be there till live! Opened....when I went to sign contract and accept position 42000 was on the paper....

The place is a disease....have no clue how they survive

Live! Is hiring dealers.......just throwing that out there and prob a very good shot of being a dual rate dealer/supervisor

Or u can wait for the horseshoe and work there......when asked if you have experience just start ranting about parimutuel wagering experience and horse racing hospitality......they won't even check with fear of getting exposed!!!! 100 percent fact!!!

We need proximity in the casino industry!!

I take it shift supers do not share in tips...
Christ, the dealers could make more than their boss....That's crap.

In poker dealers make more then the shifts....plus dealers jobs are more secure then shift managers....when layoffs happen it's the shifts that are in the sweatbox sweating the pink slips.....

Very very weird

As for the 49 turning to 42 that's standard for penn national gaming....Hollywood and ceasars entertainment are co-1/9s in the scum department

I had the opposite happen at my job last week. We found a junior accountant to hire, wrote up the offer letter with 45K as the salary. Somehow, between it leaving my desk, and the HR person delivering it to the candidate, it became 50K. She offered, he accepted, and now he's getting 5K more than planned, as well as 5K more than he originally accepted. Worked out well for him!

If one can get the plum poker dealer slot, why would they want a shift mgr position. Not logical. Unless of course there are other perks that come with management positions.
