they might as well go all the way down to .10 already. it might actually be a good way to promote the product online. i don't think it would work with live tellers though.

for the last few years racing should have done more things to get internet players on board after they had watched the success of the poker sites. the poker sites got closed up, the racing industry should have seized the opportunity to convert the poker players into horse players.

pretty soon there will be plenty of casino games online that people will flock to. its still not to late for racing to get their act together.

the "take out" in NY on tris and supers are well above average. I try to restrict my play to the low-take out pick five,... win,... exacta,... and double pools. Over time...playing the tris in NY subjects you to far to many underlay payoffs.

I'm the same way.

I think the "idea" that the multi-race and multi-horse exotics split the "take" over multiple horses is the biggest current fallacy in all of racing.

The exotics give you the ability to combine overlay to overlay and create an even larger overlay, but at the end of the day you are still bucking the "take" on that kind of bet. So players will lose that much as a group. Most people exasperate the problem by spreading their bets trying hit. IMO, if you are going to play exotics you are typically better off playing very narrow tickets and just dealing with the inevitable losing streaks.

They exasperate themselves by exacerbating the problem.

Generally, I think exactas are much better wagers than tri's. I bet very little in tri pools and I've never made a superfecta wager in my life.

I agree with you Class.

It's another pool to play in and it's not redundant. - If you have a strong opinion vertically, you can multiply your edge.

At times you want to play narrow tickets, and at times you want to play spreads.

Yea, with trying to "split the take" using exotics, you are looking at both strength of opinion(do you have 2 or 3 levels of overlays? or are you stretching 1 opinion??), as well as lowering your hit rate, which increases your losing streaks.

Thank you.

Spell check has it's limitations, as do I.
