Pat Day is now 2nd and Jerry Bailey is 3rd.
Bailey is about 1,800 behind Pat Day....if Jerry can come back and finish 5th or better in a race worth 60k or more, he passes Pat.
Pat Day retired in 2005 and came back to ride ONE race in 2008 and he earned 2,820 for that mount. Jerry rode on that same day in 2008 and earned 9,400.
It will be interesting if either one of them comes back for a "rocking chair" race, i wonder if either of them is thinking about how close they are in earnings, the 2nd spot is up for grabs.
