This may not mean much to many players, but I've noticed Gulfstream Parks run ups vary from race to race. I haven't seen this at any other track. Of course the run up will vary on the turf course when the rail settings are changed, but at most tracks the run up is the same at a particular distance on the main track. I've noticed 5 1/2 f runups at 30 ft. and sometimes 40 ft, 6f run ups vary from 15 ft to 25 ft. The differences aren't great, but enough to make slight differences to any serious pace handicapper that don't know the different run ups. This combined with the Trakus beaten lengths vs the equibase beaten lengths should make the upcoming Winter meet tricky.
