Maybe it had nothing to do with the track and had everything to do with horses who got past the vet that shouldnt have been on the track in the first place.

Im surprised the jocks didn't say enough is enough and refuse to ride. That's usually what happens when a track gets sloppy enough that horses start breaking down.
