Race -1 The :3: Sent out by the red hot Linda Rice barn in the opener today. Tied for the high last out Bris figure. Owns the right style for this event. (3-2-1)

Race -2 The :8: . Race sets up for this stalker-closer from the Rudy barn. JR stays up for the ride. 2 sprints to a route a 21% trainer move. 3-1 feels right. (8-1-5)

Race -3 The :5: . Asmussen trainee tries the grass for the 1st time today, a 14% trainer move. Dam has thrown a turf winner so this one may improve on the weeds today. Castellano up a bonus. (5-3-9)

Race -4 The :6: . 2-1 on the ML for Jerkins today. Should be sharper 2nd of the layoff here after attempting to chase a runaway winner in latest. (6-1-4)

Race -5 The :5: Castellano rides for Shug instead of riding either of the Chad Brown runners in here. Sharp 4F Oct 7th for this. A well timed move is all this one needs here. (5-8-1)

Race -6 The :1: . 2nd off the layoff for Violette a 24% angle here. Turf-to-dirt for another 24% move. This one looks well meant in here. (1-8-3)

Race -7 The :4: . Linda Rice runner 3rd as the chalk last out. She hits at 25% next out off the beaten favorite loss. Sprint to route a 21% trainer angle works here too. (4-3-9)

Race -8 The :3: . The Pebbles Stakes. Chad Brown ships this one overseas and he hits at 43% off the boat. 29% off the brief freshening and she gets Lasix for the 1st time today. Good enough for me. (3-8-6)

Race -9 The :1: :1a: Entry looks tough in here for Jacobson. 25% in non-grades stakes. 2 for 1 here looks good at 5-2 ML. (1-1A-4-6)

Race -10 The :7: . Looks like a race a 1ster could win. We Get Castellano ridingfor 16% 1st time starter trainer Schettino. Doesn't have to be much to win this. (7-11-3)

At 6-1 with blinks on I will bet it's the :2: , although Luzzi may go with the :6: and Lezcano may have some speed on the :8:

He's well bred, brother of classic winner Bachelor Duke (2000 Guineas-gr1), with good mares in the broodmare line. Today first time lasix... he may get into the exacta or even win against a soft field. The problem is his trainer, a 3% turf trainer....
