I was messed up by the high odds of the winner (5-2) when the gates opened. Whith the big drop from gr.2 and high odds I tought that maybe something was wrong with the horse. With 8-5 odds UPGRADE would have been always my pick. Maybe the high odds were because of the Michael Maker bias...

yea. they must have hammered him late. 2 was a big underlay
5.80 still wasn't bad for the class of the race.

R3: :7: VAN GOGO GIRL is at the top of her game since she changed of trainer. Second in the comeback race closing from the back in a sprint, won big in Kentucky Downs frontrunning over a mile, good profile (speed+stamina) for these 7 furlongs. She's a winner on tapeta and the fact that runs for the first time without a tag means they think there is more to come from the filly.

R4: :7: MEMA is 3/4 parts sixter of Seattle Smooth, a grade 1 winner of more than 1 million dollars. She shows the best 5f workout (58.4) I've seen in this meeting, and another very quick (46.3). Eddie Kenneally is a strong 18% first start win... Catch her if you can.

don't understand the track trend, that win with this second call in 47.00 is near impossible at this level going in front... moving to Santa Anita
