PLEASE READ FIRST BEFORE VOTING!

Hello everyone,

Listed below are the rules for the 2013 Overlay Publications Breeders' Cup Challenge Contest. Participants will find that the contest rules has been designed to support the premises outlined by the Sponsor's products. (For additional information, please visit overlaypublications.com.).

Please read the rules carefully, and IF you "intend" to participate in this contest, click the poll question at the top of this thread and vote Yes. The poll will only allow you to vote one time, so if you do not fully understand the rules, never vote no, but first seek an improved understanding, then come back and vote Yes.

IMPORTANT NOTE --> You will find to the far right of each poll question a highlighted number. Clicking on that number will allow one to see an alphabetical listing of those who have chosen (voted) for that option. This is the ONLY place where the moderators will determine if you have met this contest requirement. Posting below should be limited to questions only. If you post below for the purpose of rules acknowledgement and you fail to vote in the poll above, you will remain INELIGIBLE for contest participation.

Now on to the rules...........

2013 OVERLAY PUBLICATIONS BREEDERS' CUP CHALLENGE

1. Contest will be run on Friday (11/01/13) and Saturday (11/02/13).

2. Races will come from Santa Anita and will involve those specifically designated as "Breeders' Cup" races. A specific list of races will be posted under the contest thread.

3. To be eligible for participation, players must vote yes (in the poll listed at the top of this thread) that they have read and agree to abide by all contest rules. Due to the efforts to score this event live and the significant amount of time required to set up player records and enter selections, subject poll will be closed at midnight Eastern Time on Thursday, October 31st.

4. Players who only participate on one day of this two-day contest will only be eligible for that day's "daily" prize(s).
5. Subject contest will be scored on the basis of ROI, which is calculated by dividing the return amount by (wagers minus refunds).

6. Players are required to wager exactly $10 per race using WIN wagers only. No races can be passed, as all must be played. Selections may involve more than one horse, provided that the TOTAL wagered on that race does not exceed $10. The minimum wager per horse is $2, and can be increased by increments of $1.

Example 1 ---> SA, Race 6: $5 Win :7:
$3 Win :1:
$2 Win :4:

Example 2 ---> SA10: $2 Win :1:,:2:,:5:,:12:,:13: ($10 total)

Posting the horse's saddlecloth number is required, and posting the horse's name is optional, but helpful. Should the horse's saddlecloth number and name not be in agreement, the horse's name shall take precedence.

Please help the scorekeeper by limiting your selection posting to only the essential info, like track, race#, saddlecloth#, and horse's name (optional). Please DO NOT include the title of the race, etc.

7. Should a player wager more or less than $10 in a race, it will be scored as follows:
(a) More than $10 --> Player will receive $0 winnings, and the wager total will be considered to be $10 for that race.
(b) Less than $10 --> Player will receive any application winnings, and wager total will be considered to be $10 for that race.

8. Should one or more of a player's selections scratch and the player not re-post, those selections will be scored as refunds, and for purposes of ROI calucation, they will not count towards the wager amount.

9. Entries will be handled like they are at the track. Should ALL the horses in an entry scratch, the player will receive a refund. Should one or more entries remain in the race, the player will have action.

10. Selections can be made and/or modified up to one minute prior to the race off time. When making a change, it is highly recommended that the player "quote" his/her original selection, then clearly state what is to be changed.

Selections not posted by the required time will be scored as follows:
(a) Selections that end up winning will be scored as a no-play, or refund.
(b) All other selections will be scored as losses.

Players are responsible for the accuracy of their forum "Time Stamp".

11. Selections are to be posted under the daily threads specifically created for that purpose. Selections posted under the wrong day will not be scored.

12. All score rulings will be the responsibility of the Moderators (Jay Trotter and Track Collector), whose decisions will be final. Please report any errors ASAP.

GOOD LUCK AND SKILL TO ALL!

Chris
