Was just reminded of this one. His angle is a maiden dropping from MSW to a claiming race AND changing to a top jockey. Dick Mitchell mentions Mark's angle in one of his books, and says it also works with a maiden claimer dropping at least 30%. The jockey change is a must. Mitchell says it is a profitable flat bet.
I was reminded of it when I saw a horse that fits in the 5th at Monmouth. The 12, Profound, dropping from MSW to $20K claiming and switching to one of the hot jockeys at the meet. Other than than, the horse looks like a real dog. Very consistent. Three races, finished 7th three times.
Anyone heard of this angle before? Any experience with it?
