belmont r5 :5: Hothersal - This is a tough one to figure out. May be a good value, after breaking through the gate last time and running a HOT pace.

I can't bet this horse though.

really game effort by Hothersal running 2nd on a decent pace. Improved effort 2nd time Pletcher and has more room to improve. Significant late money on the 5.

Yea. That was a crazy race too. 8 was dead last early. Lots of moves and horses were getting tired.

Yeah, I had the winners in the first 3 races at Keeneland, got beat near the wire in race 4, and then my horses didn't show up in race 5. Strange day so far.

Agree, I don't have any hard data on the 3 , as with many others in this race. I don't normally bet these races because of the lack of data, but have been doing ok at Belmont this meet, even playing these races.

I'm going to use your :9: :7: :6: and my :10: in an exacta Box.

Yeah the 10 is my 4th ranked horse here. But its class doesn't come close enough to call it a tie with the 6.

I do play ties, but that increases the natural odds requirement, 4 picks would be 3/1 minimum odds, maybe 5/2 if I think the low odds horse will win and 5/2 gets him a bet.

Going to have a beer and try to concentrate on whether or not :11: Guava Girl is my meal ticket in race 10.

Thanks! Wise Dan still ran a good race, just couldn't get up at the wire. Flattened out in the stretch, think he started his run a bit earlier than he normally would have on the turf. He was a bit further back in the turn than normal and had to make up some ground. Still gets the HOY IMO, since this one was a surface change.

Yeah, I;m up for the day at both tracks, Kee and Bel. Been doing very well at Bel this meet (and last too, 1.30 ROI last meet). Will play the rest of the Kee fall meet for sure, did well there earlier in April, 1.21 ROI if I remember right.

Without having capped, He's a horse I legitimately like.

That said, the only way I bet is if he is crushed on the board and I see a weakness.

Cool! There are a several of us in the Dallas area. Might be good to set a day to meet at LS, even if it's just to watch some races live. I'm not crazy about supporting Texas tracks' handles, so I wouldn't be betting much if at all. Maybe some 10 cent supers, though, LOL.

I know "Cincy" has mentioned coming down from Ohio one day, just to get to know each other (we've been corresponding for a few years now but never met in person). Unfortunately the only live races we'll see this time of year would be quarter horse races. Maybe it would be better to wait until the spring meet in Apr-Jul, and try to get several people together for a day. Nothing big like the PA Spa get togethers or anything, just show up and meet somewhere at the track, simulcasting building outside on the patio would be fine with me, if they still have the patio, LOL, I haven't been there for a few years and certainly not since the remodeling.
