Got out of work yesterday at noon slept till 630 and woke up in the mood to gaaaaambool........so instead of going north to perryville or Delaware pk I went west to the home "the land of cancelling wagers over 5k late"
So I'm walking into chuckleville from the 1st turn and there's prob I guess 15 mtp to some race I told myself driving in im not giving them any handle tonight...to make this easier on me I walk in the door and I see the filth ridden screens of I guess Remington pk I think I saw a screen of penn national and then filthineer park......along with some k-9 action I just kept it moving....
I sit down at a 2/5 table buy in for the max of 500......long gone are the days of me being scared of gettIng pushed around by people that have 2 percent of the gambling knowledge I have.....anyway it's a field of 9 that include players that think they are better then they are....compare it to a 2-88 trainer at mth that walks around like he is robert baffert......
For the first 15 min I get fived to death calling and then folding to big raises....
Then I look at A-3 not suited.....older gentlemen is playing foot on the pedal and he makes it 45 I'm only one left I call immediately......flop comes 2-4-5 rainbow bright and proceed on letting this clown keep hammering away with jacks like there gods gift to poker......im plus like 350 and I wouldn't even know there's horse racing yards away im here to play cards.....would love to play baccarat but not in the mood to be at a 50 table.....
So this is trip 3 to the chuck since i moved to Baltimore and im 2-2 going in...not a cj or PA type 66-68 but 2-2 none the less.....not big wins but had no income so had to take what they gave....
Make a bad play in a hand but then win the next 1 so I'm ok.....older gentleman who I recognize from other poker rooms where I worked is in the game I got J-10 seven callers pre flop comes 10-10-8 automatically I know I'm dead in the hand....the radar is just blaring......turn is a 3 I check some clown fired out 40 I "just call".......river comes comes a 6...so now I know ALL 7 9s get there I bet "25" basically a $25 check the older gentlemen makes it $60 with the "verbal 60" bet which means he's trying to get every penny he can get out of me, plus his friend behind him hawking the action like a driver hawking the board at freehold.....I fold and show the Phil rizzuto(#10) he goes how do u not call......this guy plays very good but wasn't happy I folded then showed me pocket 8s I just laughed.....plus about 300 at this point
I make a $35 call with 44 which in my opinion is a horrific call as I have no belief in pot odds the flop comes out 9-10-j I feel I just dropped 35 on the floor I go for a walk to survey the casino action.....
I see about 6 baccarat tables in action with minimums to my suprise of 15-100...I immediate walk back to poker room rack up and make a b-line for the baccarat table using the system my friend and I have come to the conclusion is your only shot.....
I buy in for $1000......one table is 15 the other 2 are quarters....here's the system (I know there useless but it is what it is) :
For years I've called the "player" the penn st defense for the casino....if it wasn't for the player bet the Asian customers would put there lights out banging the backer....so the player is the only defense the casino can put up
We have come up with the system of flat betting the bank to go up 4 units then move on to the next table......I decide to bet $40s as the base unit...
Stuck 5 units as the player is going on a streak that would rival any MLB season. Streak and I'm starting to break into a panic as after about 20 hands the system is -about 8 units(-320)...........know I got like 600 in front of me and I but in another 1000 so I'm in for 2000.....pit boss asks me if I wanna get rated I tell him not intersted.....so now the units get increased to $70s.......heres how the rotten shoe starts...."P" player "B" is banker and I'm on the bank the whole time on 70s
P,B,P,P,P,P,P,P,B,P,P.....for about a -500 after commision and whatnot
Now I'm on the verge of blacking out as a night of poker is turning into a nightmare on elm st....I'm in for 2000 and have about 1100 in front of me
They shuffle I telling myself this gotta turn around I dig back Down for another 1000 in for 30 black here.....(went with 4k was planning on playing 5-10nl---) not a brag or boast but telling a story and all of you guys here can buy and sell me with what you have in your car ashtrays....
I bring the units up to $125s......again flat betting the bank....new show comes out I run to bathroom to wash hands And change my luck I come back to see the shoe has started and started with "4 players"....I just saved 500 by washing my hands.....
Next 13 hands run out... Bank comes in 11-13 for plus 9 units of betting $125s which got me about 1125 but there was commision......
In for 3000
Cash out for 3080
Very happy to escaped the chuck alive last night as this won't happen again.
Once again taught me a lesson that poker is like running down hill compared to playing horses......truth be told I didn't even miss it last night.....trying to filet these suckers in cards is good times.....and the baccarat sweat was as much action as I needed....
