Have I been asleep of late? Ocala Training Center has 6 races 'scheduled' for today. $40,000 to $100,000 purses. Does anyone now what this is? Its news to me. Can you bet on them, and are there pps on them. I hope I didn't see this in a dream, then I'll feel like an idiot posting this!

I believe the only horses eligable are those sold at Ocala sales; and in past years, at least, there has been no betting.

yea, its only a one day a year thing, and i am pretty sure also that it has to be ocala sales grads.

I don't believe they offer wagering on those races. I recall seeing PPS for horses from those races in years past with a dash where the odds would be, which usually indicates a non-parimutuel event.

I don't even know if those are widely broadcast. You might have to be there live to watch it.

Correct: they are non-wagering (paramutial that is :) ) races. All entrants have either passed through the sales ring at Ocala or have been sired by Florida Breds.
