The #1 moment in Breeders' Cup history?

2001 Tiznow beats Sakhee

Easy. Hands down. No other horse has won the Classic twice. If this isn't reason enough, then go with him based on heart, alone.

Some things are unforgettable. This moment, this horse race was celebrated worldwide.

Zenyatta just missing the BC Win at Churchill was a pretty dramatic moment. The Wild Again BC was also up there since it was the first ever race with all the drama and whatnut.

Goldy winning her 3rd was also very special.

So many great horses and so much great racing gone bye....

So hard to pick, still, I pick Goldikova's hat trick, as my favorite of all of the BC moments...:jump:

And I truly believe that, on another day, with just a step or two quicker earlier in the contest, Zenyatta would've won the day....She was right there tho at the end tho, and it was then that I became a true believer in her greatness from thereon...

Arazi in the Juvenile was one the most breathtaking moments in horseracing.
Pity he never panned out.

Arcangues winning the Classic is still one of my fav though.... the defeaning silence of 50k odd people watching one of the biggest races in the world was eerie.

Good job.

However, Manila in '86 and Princess Rooney in '84 were both exclusions that I very much disagree with.

true story I know you guys and girls probably have better but me and my friend were at lonestar pavilion and it was packed for the breeders cup. and the juvenile was coming up about 8- min to post. and the lines were long so I went to the 50$ window and this guy in front of me I say about 35 and about 6 foot 8 huge guy thats why he stood out? so with about 3 min to post he said I want 5000 to win on the 6 Answer Lively? and i thought to myself damn!!!! forgot the tri we had put together so I said give me 40 to win and 20 to place on the 6. barely got the bet off but couldn't believe he won and the guy had all that money on his nose.well of course we won a little bit too think he went off 6-1 forgot saw him about 45 min later at the main bar and bought him a beer, and then congratulated him he said did you bet on him? I said yep because of you, I was behind you at the window and barely got it off. I asked him why he bet him he said because he is related to my favorite horse littlebitlively? good ole times....

War Chant's 2000 BC Mile - his stretch run was as incredible as any I've seen, passed a dozen horses after a slow first half-mile should have left him with no chance. Durkin's call was great, he seemed amazed the horse was even in the picture.

Tikkanen's 1994 Turf - set a track record and another who came from last to first. Still to this day I've never seen a horse train as good as he did in the mornings leading up to the race.

Honorable mention:

"Concern from out of the Clouds" - still my all-time favorite finish line call that I heard in person. Plus it didn't hurt that all my Tikkanen-Hatoof exacta money got wheeled back on him http://paceadvantage.com/forum/images/smilies/43.gif

I had Concern that day because I was convinced they could have made him start in the parking lot and he still would have won...
It was my only hit of the day but the bet still left me slightly ahead..WHEW!!!!
