With all this emotion surrounding Mariano and Andy and their retirements, i thought it might be interesting to see other records of "final apperanaces", i found this to be interesting.
There are 11, yes 11, players in MLB who have hit a HR in their final career at bat and that HR was the only HR of their careers.
Another player, a fine gentleman named John Miller, who is currently 69 years old, and still alive according to Wikipedia, had 63 career plate appearances and hit a HR in his first career AB and his last career AB. Here's John Miller's baseball reference page.
