The ones that come to mind are "Fire" Lane Kiffin, Jim "Lester Eastland" Caldwell, Mike "King of the Pick 6" Tice, Wayne "Times New Roman" Fontes, Richard "loser" Kotite, Dave "my dad denies he's related to me" Shula, and of course, Joe "i had the greatest teams in history, should have won 8 to 10 titles, but only won 4 and let the Red Sox break their curse on my watch" Torre.

What Say YOU?

I can't agree with whizz's picks here. it takes dennis green like 9 years to have a losing season in Minnesota and art shell has a winning record coaching for mr davis??

hypocritically i'll nominate another winning coach (won't hold anyone's performance in Arizona against them): buddy ryan.

Rich Kotite is easily the worst coach I've ever seen. What I can't understand is what the Jets saw in him after his performance in Philly. Someone mentioned Buddy Ryan. I'm not a Buddy fan, but the team performed for him. His problem is that he was so focused on the defense, he was never a complete coach. Those Eagle teams should have done better than they did (no playoff wins), but Ryan was surely not someone I'd put on the "worst coaches" list. Others can run circles around him for that honor.

Speaking of which, anyone remember Ray Rhodes who followed Kotite in Philly?? He lost the team during the playoffs I think when he gave a motivational speech that backfired. It had too much gore and rape of female family members if I recall. Some of the players said afterwards that they had lost all respect for him after that locker room tirade.

Lane Kiffin.

Mike Tice is a great one. Bad coach who got caught scalping his complimentary Super Bowl tickets. Recently had a big score betting horses.
