Just came across this. I am fond of Dell. Got a super machine from them one year ago.
This looks like a good deal

I think it is a good deal. But I think you will need a different video driver if you want to use more than 2 monitors. Check it out first.

Not a bad machine at all, but it really depends what you need to do with it. I have a Dell Studio from a few years ago, I've found the 8GB memory maximum is somewhat limiting when working with large databases. Also if you do any stuff with virtual machines (even one) then once again 8GB is very limiting, this machine you've pointed out I think is 8GB max also, Dell's consumer lines (Inspiron) are typically limited like this. The enterprise-grade stuff, like the Precision workstations can accept a lot more memory, a bit sturdier build, less plastic but granted are overpriced. Shuttle makes some decent kits. I have a DS61 v1.1 which you have to buy everything for separately and then assemble, I chose an Intel SSD, corei3 CPU, 8GB RAM, I think it even takes up to 16GB of RAM. It's not for any heavy gaming obviously as the graphics are just on-board but it's powerful little machine for its size, good stuff.

I've been looking for a new laptop, and I am a Dell Fan too, and somebody pointed this site out to me.
