The gunsmoke was still in the air when Diane Feinstein got up on her soapbox to preach about gun control. Never let a crisis go to waste.
“When will enough be enough?” Feinstein said in a statement Monday evening.

“Congress must stop shirking its responsibility and resume a thoughtful debate on gun violence in this country,” she said. “We must do more to stop this endless loss of life.”

“There are reports the killer was armed with an AR-15, a shotgun and a semiautomatic pistol when he stormed an American military installation in the nation’s capital and took at least 12 innocent lives,” she said.

Of course when you are milking a crisis for all it is worth, you never let the facts get in the way.

However, federal law enforcement sources told CNN Tuesday that authorities have recovered three weapons from the scene of the mass shooting, including one -- a shotgun -- that investigators believe Alexis brought in to the compound. The other two weapons, which sources say were handguns, may have been taken from guards at the Navy complex.

CNN isn't all that picky about facts either:

Anyone know where I can get one of those AR-15 shotguns?

If you find out let me know! My grouse hunt this past weekend would have been much more successful!

Thats what politicians do....especially democrats and republicans. They still milk the crap out of 9/11. "We have to spy on you to make you safe......give me your rights ."

Then the so called "news- media" ,........what happened to the "original" reports of "multiple gunmen"?????? See, if they scare people enough they can get anything from them.......money, their guns, their rights and put them in "wars" they don't belong in.............it only cost us 17 trillion to boot.......

He drove a Prius to the scene. Ban the Prius and do background checks on all who own one.

Fine by me, as long as they don't wind up in the hands of children.

"A Newport, Rhode Island police sergeant reported Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis to naval station police last month after the suspect told cops he was “hearing voices” through his hotel room wall and that three people were following him and sending vibrations into his body, according to a police report obtained by FoxNews.com…

The sergeant wrote in the report that based on what Alexis told him, “I made contact with on-duty Naval Station Police [officer name redacted.]”

The Naval Station Police official told the sergeant “they would follow up on this subject” and determine if Alexis was, in fact, a naval base contractor."

Somebody is in deep dung..............

This Sgt was practicing good common sense police work. Finally somebody in this whole mess that appears to be competent.

And ironically, a lot of these "incidents" are BECAUSE people feel like trapped rats due to all the spying and stealing of pvt communications.

I smell another lawsuit coming. NBC and CBS misidentified the shooter.

These dumb asses get in too big of a hurry, trying to be FIRST to report, and then they f@#k it up.
