10th@Mountaineer: 5F F&M Clm5000N2L ` purse $8,400 ~ 9/17/13
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three New Faces, two of them JBM's,& ChTown shipper cutting back
in distance. No 'True dropdowns'. I'll use Positive/Negative analysis.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Kissin In The Dark (5/2 ML Fave)~ Positive: Speed & Rail @5F.
Negative: Beaten by #2 in last, stopped badly late on rail.
2) White Tail Cat (7/2)~ Positive: Draws well, quicker than last.
Negative: Best local Beyer in 4 starts (26) well below the Par Ave. (41).
3) Yankeedoodlecandy (8/1)~ Positive: 220Y cutback + connections.
Negative: Loses Loveberry to rail runner, been DOB for Martin runner.
4) Forester Queen (20/1)~ Positive: Trainer change, middle move last.
Negative: FIFTH trainer change in 9 starts this year!
5) Sapphire Shot (20/1)~ Positive: Pilares rides, ran 2nd in May.
Negative: Fifteen!Starts in 2013 for 3% trainer. 5F too short?
6) Iron Vixen (5/1)~ Positive: New Face #1 JBM going MSW-2-$5K/2L.
Negative: Was a VET SCRATCH 8/31 in N2L Alw, so see positive.
7) Rue de La Pay (6/1)~ Positive: Pvt.Purchase by crafty trainer.
Negative: 281-Day Layoff + 2 works tough; never run 5F.
8) Lovely Humor (10/1)~ Positive: New Face #2 goes 2 turns-to-one.
Negative: Trainer 4/46 since 2010 with new stock.
9) Kahlua Gold (6/1)~ New Face #3 a JBM with 3 solid dirt efforts.
Negative: Private Purchase off Win as Fave seldom a winning angle.
10) Lilly's Wish (15/1)~ Positive: Trainer 3/9 with Turf-2-Dirt move.
Negative: 2 of those T-2-D wins w/west coast shippers; Needs pace.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: The Two ML faves breaking from inside posts will get
most of the play, & while neither would shock, I'm willing to try &
beat with #7 off Layoff/TrainerChange & #10 going Turf-2-Dirt.
Leery of Iron Vixen off Vet Scratch, but would not surprise.
Good Luck to ALL, & see you at Night School!

9th@Mountaineer: 6F Alw37100NC ~ purse $37,100 ~ 9/17/13
(No-Condition Allowance- Any & ALL runners welcomed!)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only New Face in field is a 3YO that's perfect 3/3 on Dirt, but faces
Five Foes that have combined for 43 Wins. Small Field, Big Talent!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Jasizzle (6/5 ML Fave)~ Positive: Best 2013 Form, Career Best
Beyer last,5 Works since prevents Bounce? Negative: Rail Draw=Gun Early.
2) Aloha Daddy (12/1)~ Positive: 3YO Beyers improving,can stalk.
Negative: Class rise is HUMONGOUS, never been 6F on dirt.
3) St.Maximus Gato (3/1)~ Positive: 2012 Won R-2-S off similar L/O.
Negative: Only 1 work in PP's, had 4 works last year winning going R-2-S.
4) Rummy's Command (8/1)~ Positive: Loves oval, 2-turns-2-one.
Negative: WV-Bred has regressed since DQ Win in May, Beyer-wise.
5) Mega Rush (7/2)~ Positive: Goes R-2-S off Win, 10/24 locally.
Negative: 7YO totes high weight off Win, may have lost a step this year.
6) Tend (6/1)~ Positive: Woodard/Hays, Generous ML, solid in last.
Negative: 8YO with 3 starts in 16 months, back in 9-Days...regression?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: ML Fave holds pace advantage with alert rail start.
Among others, St.Max would benefit from speed duel, if TEND moves
forward off last while Sizzle fizzles, could score. Other 3 in deep here.
Good Luck to ALL, & See You at Night School!
