Was there last year, was a cold but sunny day (after a week of rain), it's a great racing event, huge crowds (including many Japanese who were heartbroken over what happen to Orferve), but a terrible betting event (no visible tote or payouts, little betting windows causing huge lines)

I watched this and think to myself, this is a great sport to use the visual and audio technology that is out there now. The magnificent animals, the colorful silks, the sounds of the race, the masterful maneuvering of these 1000lb creatures of god traveling at 40mph on 4 legs thinner than a mans arm. You could now sit in your living and be blown away seeing this tremendous sport as its never been seen before. But nope, the same crappy feed, sound and cameras angle we saw on our old philcos. Everything dies for a reason, some are natural deaths and some are created.

Going to the Arc is great fun, but if 99% of the people here were subjected to the complete lack of wagering information, as well as wagering menu, offered, there would be pages and pages of nasty posts.
