CONTEST 6

2ND ANNUAL

MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

***

To make it easy to find, listed below are the pairings for Round :1:.

There were 66 folks who indicated a desire to play in this contest.

Unfortunately, this contest is limited to only 64 players, with seeding order based on their highest accumulated PaceAdvantage Challenge Series (PACS) points. In the event players were tied with regard to PACS points, subject ties were broken according to the following priorities:

(a) Players who successfully met prize/award eligibility requirements in more contests than the others received the higher seeding.
(b) Players whose highest PACS point total for any one contest was higher than the the highest for any one contest of the others received the higher seeding.
(c) Random draw (out of a hat by my wife) :)

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via private message.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?

--- Re-visit the rules just to re-familiarize yourself with them.
--- Locate your round 1 opponent on the list below.
--- If you are the higher seed (for games 1,3,5) or lower seed (for games 2,4), choose the track and races you want to play from the approved and designed free past performance site, and post under the specifically designed (Round 1, Game X) thread by the deadline listed in the rules. It would also be a good idea to make contact with your opponent prior to the start of game 1 just to make sure everything is in good order.
--- Post your selections in the designated thread by the appropriate deadline.
--- Remember that games are self-scored by the respectively involved players.
--- Indicate the results (at minimum the winner of the game) in the designated thread.

Good luck and skill to everyone!!

Chris

What a field

Very much thinking about having a BYOB party for the 20-45 matchup....your getting a top 5 horse player in the world as a 20 seed....basically this a 12-5 matchup.......calling out of work to follow the play by play

Also can Maclr11 draw any worse then none other then the master from Moore cj as a 5?????? Wonder it cj will play down to his seed?

I just called Vegas and wanted to lay 24,500 for 100 but they just took cj off the board......

Just reserved 5 seats at the bar for the much anticipated buffaloxp vs pat5336 matchup.....look for one of these 2 to go very deep as a Cinderella in this more then stellar field

Good luck to all participants as this figures to be a awesome contest.....as always track collector is the man, he knows how to run a tourney!!!!!

Mirage Vegas sportsbook just posted horses4courses a -750 favorite against JETSWIN

God, what a scary matchup for me
I definetely will have to go to the bag of tricks for this one.
I will most certainly be practicing every ridiculous play in the book, hook and ladder, the swinging gate, throwing the ball all the way down the court to Christian Laettner. You might even see that weird offence where the offensive line lines up on the other side of the field from the qb. You never know what I might come up with.

I think I get how it feels to be like Wright State when they make the tournament and see Kansas on the other end of the bracket. It's like damn you Gregg Gumbel don't put me there.

Couple of matches to watch in my eyes

Aner and Alydar
Trotter vs Mrhorseplayer, Trotter might be too busy trying to win his trip to Vegas this weekend

What a very tough 1st round match up for both you and cj. I gasped when I saw this pairing. This was the result of a random drawing, as maclr11 was one of four folks tied with the same PACS points AND all four were still tied after applying the higher priority tie-break criteria.

Just as an FYI..........the only reason Maclr11 is ranked so low is because he is the Paddock Host at ASD and recused himself from the previous contests due to a conflict of interest as an employee of one of our great sponsors - ASD (Assiniboia Downs).

With the ASD live season coming to a close this weekend Rob is once again allowed to join the fray. Going against one of the "Top 5 in the World" might be daunting but at those odds I'm all over the Canadian boy - Go Mac Go.
