"Live" from beautiful Belmont Park where The Cross Island Parkway meets The Hempstead Turnpike. Today's Pick-6 carryover is nearly $50,000 -- and climbing, as we speak.

I'll be back with my first race selections in about fifteen minutes

Race One:

:5: Radiant comes out of race at "The Spa" in which the winner, Sweet Whiskey, "lived up to her hype" (Tom Durkin); she was just a few ticks off the Saratoga track record for 5 1/2 furlongs. Radiant finished fourth in that race; the Pulpit-bred filly had little chance of catching the winner. In this race, however, she does have a chance, a good chance. She has a :47.1 breezing work for four furlongs to prove she's ready. Yet, there are other horses worthy of consideration; some of whom came out of that Sweet Whiskey race. :1: Knacque finished second; yet, in that one, she veered in at the start and lost ground. However, she later found a seam at the top of the stretch and finished a game but distant second. :9: Princess Tumi is a first-time starter with solid pedigree, A.P. Indy and "papers," e.g., stakes winners in her family. Also, the services of Chad Brown and jockey Jose Ortiz. Then, there's the :4: Lexi Morgan. Another firster from the Todd Pletcher barn (that catches your attention) with the red-hot Javier Castellano in the irons.

Race Two:

:6: Madame Prosecutor looks like the horse to beat. Has faced better, highest last-race speed rating, and third start back off a layoff. Fits well in this company. :3: Wisdom of Oz should not be overlooked. Won her last as a huge longshot in this same company.:4: True Fortune switches back to dirt. Factor here. :7: Cherokee Fog cuts back, steps us; may get part.
