What this board needs is more action. Put that theory to the test. I'm trying to start another contest since the Pk4 one ended. I'll play any track, any bet. 1000 players on this board, and nobody's interested? Need to loosen up.

This is my idea of a realistic type of contest.

A)weekends only

B)50 contestants max

C) duration: 10 weekends

D) bankroll: $100 a day max

E) format: make 5 different bets Maximum for scorekeepers sake

F)Bet any thoroughbred track, choose any type of bet

G) total investment counted in profit/loss balance.

H) winner will get bragging rights on how to make a profit on $100.00 a day

I)After 10 weekends contest is over. If interested can restart another contest for another 10 week period

Sounds good Light, my question is who is going to do all the work of keeping score??

All contestants would have to agree to be responsible for their own winnings and post their profits/loss for the day on a seperate thread . The scorekeeper would only act as a referee and validate the winning claims, thereby easing his workload tremendously.

All contestants would also have to update their time stamp so that the scorekeeper doesn't have to track the time the bets were made for cheating purposes.

I would be interested in this idea, but how about a turf handicapping contest(U.S. tracks only)?

I'm open to any format or suggestions. But I think we would need at least 10 contestants to make this interesting. I've noticed this board has been slow in general the last few days,so maybe responses will pick up. If not ,I found http://www.trackchampion.com yesterday that holds weekly contests and pays bucks to the winners. And they are free to enter.

I would like to do the contest things but on win bets only. A Tri or Pick4 score can skew things a tad. The exotic boys might have a contest of exotics only since this contest relies on players keeping their own records.

I am all for another "weekend" pick 4 contest at AQU spring meet. I would be willing to score again. I like it not only for hte fun aspect, but it is a teacher. As most of us have probably already realized, the pick 4 is as much about structuring the bets as it is handicapping. i can always use the practice for whenever i start to really play them :) I doutb many people want to make a single $200 ticket to play at the track, rather a couple smaller tickets mixing and matching their selections.

If PA says its ok, and we can still use the part of the forum, I am up for it.

if YOU Buddha score & not them brownnoser volunteers who "only got 15 mins so I cant score until next month" or "I'm
packing to leave the USA & besides I cant re-do just to get it
right for you, Derek" --- their ersatz cappers anyways. WHY DO
THEY RAISE THEIR HANDS TO BEGIN WITH? hehe just venting
cause .. well, whats the point .. anymore comment from me and
PA will chime in with some Mothers' Advice. But I digress .... i
posted to say if any you guys saw the new SPORTS EYE edition
of raceing data? its large print & looks weird and the only diff
i can see is NO BEYERS & NO TOMLINSONS--- they use their own
speed ratings. its $3.00.

TY for that ref to TrackChampion, but I like it here, if only we can
motivate these uberNerds to join. But NO, they rather discuss
Bernolli theorem or SampleTheory --- for the 350,000th Time.
And our uberOwner PA just wants to rant politics anyways so
maybe now Light U see what i've been battlinG? Lethargy.
its worse than being forced to dine with Lefty or BoxCar. And
i'm not even counting how these viagra users got VetScratch
banned & Amazin muzzled. Their all eunuch hall monitors --- so
NOW -- i am the ONLY 1 left to fight 4 Freedom & Democracy and
let me tell U its Lonely when U reach that height. Well, I'm off
2 Wall St for another FunFun day --what with Bush & Al Kayda
breathin down my white collar.
