"There are big countries and small countries, rich and poor, those with long democratic traditions and those still finding their way to democracy. Their policies differ, too," he wrote. "We are all different, but when we ask for the Lord's blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal."

Yes, we are all created equal....but we do not stay that way, you russian pig.
Big words from a murdering tyrant from one of the most despicable nations in history.

How can Obama earn respect? - announce a missile strike on Syria, but aim it a Moscow! Then I will lead the parade on Obama Day.

Patton had it right in 1945.

Putin as a political philosopher or theologian? Fine, you can believe his teachers but first understand the logical conclusion which is group-think. He'll do the thinking for the group. And, if you do not understand, like it or have a differing opinion -- good luck with that.

As a wiser man once stated, if every one is thinking alike then most of the group is not thinking and therefore are not necessary.

Remain necessary. Think for yourself.

The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said a New York Times op-ed on Syria penned by Russian President Vladimir Putin made him want "to vomit" — echoing a sentiment being widely expressed Thursday on Capitol Hill.

Putin - a KGB murderer - knows nothing of exceptionalism.

Neither does Obama. American exceptionalism isn't about Americans being exceptional people. It is about America providing its citizens exceptional liberty and opportunity compared to the rest of the world. Obama not only doesn't understand that, he is doing his best to destroy it.

Agreed, Obama may be an idiot, but he is OUR idiot, and Putin can :kiss:MA.
WE get to criticize him, not murdering KGB scum from third rate Evil Empires.
Obama is low on the list, but he is not on the bottom. Putin looks up to him.

Freedom and the ability to practice it, liberty, is mans natural state. The best way America can increase both is stop trying to control its citizens.

Lead, follow or get out of the way.

If this move in Syria comes off, Putin will get the Nobel Prize for Peace.

If this deal actually does materialize, I'll be shocked.

And then I expect there'll be some kind of reciprocation.

Followed by the Syrians going back and killing the insurgents the old fashion way.

All of this flap misses an extremely important point: people are being murdered. All the so called media and journalists are talking about is the means being used. Not a word about the atrocities they've committed.

The Soviet Union may have dissolved, at least on paper, in 1991, but there are hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of middle aged and elderly former Soviet Bloc persons that were raised fearing and hating the West and America in particular. Many of these men are still in positions of power, hard line Communists to the end. Russia is not our friend, they remain our foe and always will be. Putting it bluntly, the Cold War has never really ended, the Russians are still the Soviets, regardless of what they call themselves, and the ChiComs are still the children of Mao.

It can't work as Putin is selling it, or as Obama is buying it. And Obama has painted himself into a corner, and has to go along with it until it either turns into a train wreck or fades into oblivion.

Putin has already said that he doesn't want the UN involved, he wants Russia to head the inspections and surrender of the weapons. Fox-hen house, any one? Supposedly, the US would have some role in oversight of the inspections. But it seems highly unlikely that any of that can happen unless Syria and the rebels agree to a cease fire, and the rebels have said they won't.

And even if that happens, Assad will still be in power, and will be as powerful as ever.

At the risk of being brutally heartless, over 100,000 people have been killed in this civil war. Why should we suddenly get upset about another 1000 killed with chemical weapons?

Have to wonder too if they are sending all their sheisters to the
US as well .Our office turns away Russian speaking people with
Medicaid cards every week . But not to worry about us being cold
hearted . They are well heeled , some put the card away and pay
cash .
