For those that like me, have in addition to MS Office, the free Open
source software called Apache Open Office. They have just upgraded
to Version 4.0 and I think it is nothing short of wonderful. The biggest
change is the sidebar which is extremely helpful. I will provide a link to
their Release Notes page so you can see for yourself if you want to
upgrade or not. I think it is just as good if not better than MS Office.
You can even save documents in the MS format to open in that program
if you wish. If you download from the Apache home site, you won't have
to worry about them adding tool bars or crapola on your machine. It is a
big program and it took me awhile to get it down but I am well please
with my initial thoughts on how good it is.
