Looks like an old thunderbird issue......I found this below. But I would kill cookies and history, restart and see what happens, before I do anything else.

From 2008:

Go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Certificates -> Show certificates -> Servers tab

Add an exception using your mail server name and port. In your example it will be
CODE: SELECT ALL
server:993
without specifying the protocol (no http, https, imaps, etc) - just server address, colon and port number.

Confirm the security exception and it should work fine. It worked for me

PS. tested on Shredder 3.0a2

Tom,
By any chance?
Could your internet provider be AT&T?

They've gone through some recent changes and for my multiple email accounts I had to switch back to non-SSL (i. e., 110) to get the incoming to function normally.

Wow, JR's jump on this one from the get-do.

ATTA BOY!

Tom, just to add a little to JR's information, TBird is now just another browser app, so, in part, that is the reason for the directions being given to correct the problem.

Thanks, guys, I killed all cookies and history yesterday, but have not re-booted yet. Tonight.

TW Road Runner is my ISP.
