Race One:
:7: Zivo. Had shot of winning last but in tight quarters, couldn’t find clear sailing until it was too late. A cleaner trip would put this gelding right there at wire.

:5: Scribbling Sarah broke maiden in last. Has performed well in turf sprints.

Race Three:
5 Ms. Sylvia A. is my long shot try in this maiden-special NY state-bred sprint. Trainer Michelle Nevin is very good with maiden-special debuts (or is it debutantes). Recent solid work. The filly’s dam, Distinctual, had two winners from two starters. I like Unbridled’s Song-bred first-timers. Apprentice Manuel Franco is an up-and-comer.

Race Four:
:6: Raging Daoust last raced in the Grade III Iselin at Monmouth; he finished fourth. However, this time, the Cherokee Run-bred gelding cuts back a panel; that should help. Prior to his Iselin appearance, the gelding won two straight, actually three out of four.

Race Five:
:5: Cool Under Fire ships in from Monmouth where he defeated slightly weaker. Tim Tullock, Jr. is very good with claim repeaters. A sharp recent workout signals this Giant’s Causeway-bred gelding is ready.

:6: Street Lord should benefit from cutting back a couple panels. One for one over the Belmont dirt.
