R1: By a Belmont Stakes winner out of a daugher of a Belmont Stakes winner, :8: EMPIRE KNIGHT is bred for staying trips. His mother won a stakes on turf and was out of a 2nd in the Hollywood Oaks (gr.1). Son of a Brazil Oaks winner (10f-turf) :2: EU BANDOLERO is another with stamina.

1st ($5.80)

Thanks for the picks, Joey. Gonna play this track today for the low takeout. Didn't know until a week ago the course has a right hand turn on the backstretch, so perhaps that explains why I've struggled here in the past.... :D

:3: with :1: :6: :8:

Hopefully the :3: will wake up and run like his momma....

R2: Bred top and bottom for turf (mother won the Criterium of Pouliches, gr.1 in Longchamp) :8: POSITIVELY maybe likes this European layout and honors her mother.

R2: Will swing for the fences and take improving horse :10: who has raced at tracks that make me think the connections think he's something.

R3: A number of these look like they'll like stretching out.

R3: Well bred and lightly raced :6: RENARDS LAPIN is working fast and looks ready to strike second after the layoff.

R4: Will take the :8: - looks a bit cheap, but some of the "class" horses have some question marks, and he's a known commodity with decent recent form...

R6: No picnic in this race. Will take the :6: dog, as he's training well and looks good on the track.

No saver exacta in last, as the :8: outlasted the :6: . D'oh!

R7: Looks chalky. Nothing fancy, taking the :10: dog - coming off a route, hoping to show some stretch punch if there's enough pace.

:10: with :4: :8: :11:

"....finished a distance third...." behind the :8: and :11:

R8: :4: GLEANING, maybe a late bloomer filly... from top barn. Showed big turn of foot out of the blue last time.

R8: Like the :5: . Shipping in from Cali, and looks to be ready to add to the mountain of trophies owned by the Ramseys.

R9: Very interesting race. Going to take another longshot with the uno dog, :1: , as the horse had a nice race last year on the course, and seems to have improved a bit this year.

R10: Wrap up a pretty rough day with another longshot. Going with the :11: here - looks as good as any of these, and the bad jock gets me a better price. Of course, that only helps if he gets there....
