This race was originally scheduled for 1 3/8 miles on the turf. Besides the G2 Baruch, all turf races got moved to the main track. The race was run at 1 1/8 miles. Why wouldn't they run it at 1 1/4 miles? The horses entered here usually like the distance. So why shorten it 1/4 miles instead of 1/8?
