The temperature is 17 degrees higher than yesterday. It's the first warm day of the summer meeting. When the heat comes closers have more chance over this polytrack.

R1: Contentious race. Another big drop from O'Neil with :4: LILI'L PERFECT, claimed after a superb win running for 25k, now drops to 12k. The philosophy is: if the mare gets claimed again with the price of the win the barn breaks even, if not claimed easy business. Training fine and fresh she's the horse to beat. :6: BONITA STAR was in rising form when missed the break badly last time. Now with a top trainer she should improve a ton and goes for the exacta.

Really like 4 on the track. Looks very ready to fire a good one with a good Gomez closing type ride.
Has a very nice eye on him and was taking it all in and was not turning a hair.

Was sweating bullets at the 3/8ths but calmed down when GO-GO made the move on the turn.
Feel like Gomez is getting right and agent is getting him on live horses.

That horse is worth the 16k for a claim, even with loosing the condition. Get one more race in him before Del Mar closes or kick of his back shoes and let him down for two weeks and get him ready for BHP. On the PPS shown on Bris throw out his turf races and he has not missed a check. Honest sort and gorgeous animal.

R6: :4: FURY KAPCORI is a very good horse and is training super. :11: TREE OF LIFE showed a huge turn of foot on this track in his debut, similar of the one we've seen in race 5, and goes for the second leg of the exacta, but the strong bet here is win :4

The fav 4 looks terrible in the post.
Pataky Kid looks very nice and back to back Gomez. Like the Arlington angle. Might see closer to pace today.

The fav ran well but the turns killed him. I thought he looked a little off in the back end. The maiden winner ran huge which is an indicator, at least to me, the 8 is a really nice animal or that field was not the greatest.
