I dont know that he "picked against" GOD, wasnt there a decision to take him off the horse? Or, was that decision made in advance because they knew of his conflict?

game on dude is a gelding, so I disagree.Plus game on dude goes for bigger purses.

I mean long term in terms of the owners/trainers....who will benefit Mike more in the long run.

I like RD a lot more in the Distaff than GOD in the Classic. No matter what he does going into it.

Yep, usually if a horse is headed off to stud, the jock might get a free season of breeding...not sure how that would translate to a mare like Royal Delta who is worth megabucks as a broodmare, with a mare there's really no way to give the jock something as a 'thank you" for riding her so well, but these are very pricey horses, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes for a jock making big decisions like this...i wouldnt read too much into it.

Just a hunch, Bill Mott is and treats people like professionals, Baffert is a clown.

Well at least Game on Dude won't be 20 lengths off a glacial pace now...

as long as he does not miss the break...actually Palice Malice took one step then when he went to take another the ground gave way, last by a length and a half and your in a very tough spot as a rider, do you rush up 4 wide around the first turn going 10 furlongs...that would have been fun to see. He only was beat 1.5 lengths and might very well have been best.

Mike Smith and Bill Mott go back a long ways. Before Baffert even started training.

Mott wouldnt take a rider off after going unbeaten and being a champion.....nuff said.
