I cant think of a worst profession than a bugler to have a DWI arrest printed in the paper. All the "blow" jokes. Well maybe one other profession... :)

Is he in jail? Why would he not be at the track working today?

Though I hate people that drink and drive (I did it myself when I was younger) if he isn't the bugler today it will be a disgrace...

No reason they shouldn't let him work

I'm not really sure how dwi arrest works but I did go through a check point last night after I left laurel.....a drunk person didn't stand a chance to get through that

When your arrested for dwi is it a long process?

Article says he was arrested early this morning....

I've never been arrested for DUI but I imagine it takes several hours to process and get released.

I would bet that he could have come to work today, but is too exhausted etc.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah right. He is the bugler on Travers Day. If he can be there, he'll be there. We've all been "exhausted" before. That doesn't mean you don't work.

Don't they have a bugler they can send in off the bench? A Bench Bugler.

Last night on Austin City Limits they had "Trombone Shorty", maybe they could fly him in.

I keep hearing that sad "wap-wap-waaaaaaaah" trumpet sound (like you just lost on a game show)....The Price Is Right has good loser music.
Someone get a Youtube clip up please !

Musicians drink or smoke weed. My dad, though definitely not an alcoholic, was a professional sax/clarinet player on the NYC nightclub circuit. He always felt like he couldn't go on without "a few."

Really? Out of a job?

This seems to be the society we are living in, people don't get as many "second chances" as they used to.

Sounds like he might have missed the "call to the post" but he made certain he didn't miss the "last call"!!

If you're going to drink, you need to be responsible. It one thing for a 20 something to drink and drive, but when youre older, you're supposed to know better.
