Deandre Hopkins - Houston rookie lining up opposite of Andre Johnson should get more looks than normal. I plan on taking him very late.

Not a sleeper but look for Jamal Charles to get receptions in Reid's offense. Remember how McCoy blew up in that offense?

Percy Harvin might slide way down because of his surgery but he should be back with more than half the season to go and provide a lot of points late in the season and playoffs.

Our draft is Sunday night. I haven't really done much but that's what I have right now.

Shane Vereen RB on the Pats is a guy I am targeting in all FF Leagues. In the Kevin Faulk/ Danny Woodhead mold, but probably more explosive than both. Should catch a ton of balls- took one to the house against the Jets last year. Looks like a guy who will get 7 or 8 carries, and catch 4 or 5 balls a game. Good luck!

Well if your drafting 9/24 that's with 3 weeks of the season in the books. A lot of the "sleepers" would have awoken by that point.

St. Louis and Tampa Bay offensive players will be generally undervalued.

Target their available skill players in the middle and late rounds.

Unless you start seeing multiple people agreeing with this. In that case, avoid them like the plague.

I would be leery of any player on the Redskins offense, only because I expect them to really spread the ball around overall this year. Having said that, Garcon and Davis would be my top choices for them.

Reggie Bush.

He'll be relatively low value and in every way is better than Jahvid Best. Plus he has a full healthy season under his belt. He isn't going to throw up huge rushing numbers but will catch tons of passes out of the backfield.

Fantasy sucks btw... ;)

I wouldn't waste a pick on Harvin. Good chance he can't play until week 13 or 14. And when he comes back, it will take him time to get in football shape.

You meant Mikel Leshoure. Best was cut by the Lions 2 weeks ago and generated no interest on waivers. His NFL career is likely over.

Or you were being sly about how much you like Bush. It would be hard to argue that absent a career ending injury next week he won't outperform Best.

You are right. I just looked him up and it really sounds like he is not coming back and has a $25.5M two year guarantee so they are going to be careful. As a Viking fan that trade looks much better:)

Best was a concussion magnet that's why he's out of the league but when healthy he was very good. Reggie is going to be their featured back and in a PPR league is going to be a great value pick.

I will give you the same advice that I provide anyone that asks me for some Fantasy Football pointers.

Don't play Fantasy Football.

Injuries will ruin your season and you will spend the season rooting for these random players who will wind up wrecking your ATS plays.

The only thing worse than playing Fantasy Football is listening to an Owner of a Fantasy Football team. Have you heard these guys on a Friday agonizing over who to start or who to sit like they are Jerry Jones ? How about on Monday when they bore you to tears with what they consider a bad beat ? It sounds like they watch a different league or game. Give me Reality Football every Sunday ATS / Moneyline.

How about the TV Networks, not a peep about point spreads, a panel of geniuses making straight up picks that find every pick landing on the Favorite.

It won't exactly make up for the Herschel Walker trade but its a start. Whatever happened to Mike Lynn? I'm guessing he got his walking papers after the Cowboys won the Super Bowl enjoying the fruits of that trade.

What I don't likE about fantasy is that all
People gotta do is go online or grab a magazine and they are on the same level as me....

Now if somebody wants to have a league and at draft all u can use is a sheet of blank paper and a pen thence I'm interested.....

And shame on the nfl for promoting it like it does when it's basically gambling...nfl is hypocritical

I am surprised this hasn't been talked about more often on the board, but to get by this there has been a new type of fantasy sport called "Daily fantasy sports". No more worrying about injuries, draft a new team each day(baseball)/week and compete H2H or 50/50 or a variety of other formats in a variety of sports each day. Quite a few different sites with vig around 10% depending on how much you play for as well as free events.

Agreed on the hypocrisy of the NFL. No doubt about that. Gambling makes the league.

As for fantasy leagues, thats basically a form of gambling as well. Part skill but a lot of luck. Injuries are random and the draft isn't the end all; IMO, making good in season pickups is a big part of it, and playing the right matchups. But if one gambles, I would argue that being in a fantasy league or two helps because one in their NFL betting because they are more in tuned to injuries and individual player slumps and hot streaks.

I constantly amazed by gamblers who think that everybody who watches the NFL or college football has at least $500 riding on the outcome of every game.

How significant would the NFL be without gambling and fantasy leagues? I remember the 1970s, and while there was gambling then, it wasn't as widespread. The NFL was not as big as major league baseball. Not in the 70s. People will always watch their hometown team. But without gambling or fantasy league, who's gonna watch Cleveland vs Arizona?

Is this a 12 team league? I like the idea of waiting on QBs and TEs until later and stock piling WRs and RBs, which you did. I just think the difference between the Manning, Brees and Rodgers to the RG3s, Kaepernicks and Roethisberger isn't THAT big. Unless one takes Jimmy Graham, may as well wait on tight end.

I'm shocked Doug Martin was available at 8 in a PPR. I'm drafting 4th and likely will target either Charles or Martin, IF they are available. I'm anticipating at least one of them to be taken along with Peterson. Foster is falling to around 10.

Like the McCoy pick at 2nd. Think he's gonna catch a ton of passes in Kelly's offense.

If one had feared Andre Brown would vulture carries from David Wilson, that won't be happening as Brown broke his left leg for the second time in less than one year.

Wilson pick is looking really smart right now though. Screw up and took 3 WRs with the same bye week (8). I have drop one WR because we are only allowed 6 , so it will probably Smith, but I hate dropping a 7th rounder before season begins.
