I have either seen these 34 shows or read about them, but mostly saw them on cable TV. The majority have been on TLC, Discovery and Food Network. Why do the producers love to use War in the titles, like Catering wars or Craft wars? I guess it's necessary just to make the show more dramatic and enticing for viewers to tune in. The irony is I've never seen these on the History or Military channel. Has anyone seen these shows or have others to add?

A wise, now deceased man once opined that war was our country's national past-time and about the only thing that we are still good at. And that we used it metaphorically at every opportunity we could for marketing's sake since we all loved it so much. Pretty sharp cat, funny too.

I went through the list and replaced every "war" with "Dust up"

It just doesn't cut it

Of course can't forget that, but I think the show was called US Drug wars which is on the list already.

Not that's a nice twist for a good show, instead of a landscaping show.:)
