Hello All! For Friday 8/2, here are the tracks and races on Slew's mind:
Monmouth - 2,3,4,7,8,9
Woodbine - 1,3,5,7
Calder - 3
Arlington - 4,5,6
Del Mar - 5,6,7
Saratoga - 1,4,6,7,8,9
For Friday, we find 3 Key Horses running:
Madame Giry - SAR ( 6) KEE 10/12/12 # 9
Screenplay - SAR ( 8) GP 01/24/13 # 9
Kiss in the Forest - MP ( 6) WO 06/03/12 # 6
Time does not allow me to comment to any degree on these entries. Only Screenplay shows up in the regular Slew listing. I will say that I am pleased to see the Madame back at Saratoga. She made me a suitcase full of money (carry-on size) last year as she was a featured Slew horse from Belmont and went on to fire off 5 consecutive wins. I'm hoping that Cam has her straightened out and she is healthy. Not really the fastest horse in her class but we will see if she improves off her comeback race at Calder on 7/6.
I will be going down to the paddock tomorrow to see her and take a closer look, and also wagering a few on her in the event she is ready. She is well out of conditions so it's light stakes action for her from here on in. Hopefully she will be spotted properly and perform well.
