R2: Barry Abrams is strong with quick returns (23% win out of 30 runs) and :1: CRAVIN' THE HEAT showed high speed 2 back. Last time she had excuses (layoff and bumped at the start runnning inside). And she's 5 pounds lighter than her main foes.

3rd

The Spaniard

R3: Well bred, out of a line of 12f Brazilian classical mares, unexposed :5: SPRING UP makes his debut for a top trainer first time routing, and should enjoy it. In his win he showed both speed and ability to rate.

R5: Tough race. Maybe hold up tactics over a route of ground is what :9: BRAVE ACTneeds lo leave the maiden condition in the second after a 2,5 months layoff. He's got a decent turf pedigree.

2nd

The Spaniard

R6: :8: MORNING FOG is in good form (59.4 big bullet Jly 7) dropping from open OC62.000 to restricted OC25.000. Was very unlucky here last summer (likes the track). The speed bias has softened a he's a closer who doesn´t need a strong pace to be effective.

NP

the winner $76. a million carryover for tomorow in the Pick-6

The Spaniard

R7: :6: MOVING DESERT seemed to like big time Del Mar polytrack, stalking a fast pace and romping away while improving 24 points (47 > 48 > 72) her speed figure.

2nd

first time lasix and first time blinkers, and a 3% jockey yo rise the price, they new what they were doing

R8: :12: FLAXEN MAIDEN showed she can close routing on turf (MSW/ high figure) an dirt. Last time, fresh from a 4 months layoff she was quick, maybe today with conservative tactics she's able to act as a closing sprinter... maybe.

win and exacta with favorite :8: ATINA LEE

2nd and 1st

2$ exacta ($31.20)

Nice call Spaniard. You're kind of a boss where the turf meets the surf...
