I think the connections realize that this one does a bit better off of the pace, and they would be crazy to send him to the front with all of the speedballs in this race. He has been competitive as of late when he takes a step back and lets things unfold in front of him. If he responds, he'll be a steal if anywhere near that 12/1 ML.

He seems to be the only one in the field without a consistency issue. I assume the favorite, a horse making the trip to LA from Hollywood isn't making the trip in good form. Why would a horse that is competitive with 10000 claimers come vs. 2500 stock? I don't know either, but the lower it goes the better. Sorta counting on it to make this 4/1 ML a longshot.

I was happy with the 7's performance. finished 4th 2lengths back.
The 4 had some issues and also finished 4th 2lengths back.
