An ultra-tough 11 race card greets us today at Saratoga. Wide open races all day today. As always I'll play $10WP on my top selection and roll the pick 3's for the buck. Picks before scratches:

Race -1 The :2: . Hard to look past this hard knocking Pletcher runner. Easily defeated half of these in a rare wire-to-wire win last out at the flat mile. Should revert to stalking tactics today. :2: :3: :8:

Race -2 The :2: . Stall trainee switches to the grass today for an 22% 1st on grass trainer move. Nice 4f workout over the surface July 22nd for this. Stall also 23% 1st time routing. Some things to like. :2: :5: :1: :1a:

Race -3 The :5: . 2 year old colts sprinting and a big Pletcher ML favorite. Sound familiar? 750K Kee purchase had better be a runner. That's a lot of quarters to get back on that investment. :5: :6: :3:

Race -4 The :6: . Pletcher hitting at 23% 3rd time off the layoff. Adds Blinkers today for another 20% move. Jockey trainer combo on fire lately. Looks to be another winner here. :6: :2: :8:

Race -5 The :3: . Taking a stab here in the G1 Prioress Stakes. Winner of 5 straight finds a good spot for a class test today. Owns the high last race Bris figure of the group and the chalk here is coming off a layoff today. Longshot play. :3: :7: :5:

Race -6 The :9: . 14 horses signed on here in a wide open crap shoot for 20000k claimers. Landing on the :9: here at 10-1 on the ML. 2nd off the layoff for Martin hitting at 10% with the move. Looks to be the speed of the race. Catch if catch can at a price! :9: :1: :2:

Race -7 The :2: . 2nd time off the layoff for Donk hitting at 13% with the move. JR retains the mount after a solid 3rd off the bench last out. Stalker gets the right pace to run at here. :2: :5: :9:

Race -8 The :7: . Assmussen at 12-1 here. Failed as the favorite last time out at CD. 18% shipping trainer puts Santana back up for the ride today. Jock has ridden this one to two 2nd place finishes. Price is worth the flyer. :7: :8: :2:

Race -9 The :3: . The G1 Diana Stakes. A streamlined field of 6 here. Tabbing the :3: at 6-1 for Brown. Reunited with Castellano today. Can take the lead or sit just off the pace n pounce here. :3: :5: :2:

Race -10 The :5: . The Jim Dandy Stakes. Landed on the :5: here for Pletcher. Belmont Stakes winner has been working well over the surface for this off the freshening. :5: :2: :1:

Race -11 The :1: . Last race and we're going home with the :1: . 12-1 on the ML for Assmussen here. Cuts back to 5.5F after flashing speed going 6F. 2nd off the claim trainer hits at 27%. Rosario up today. :1: :6: :10:

Will update for scratches later.

Good Luck N Good Racing From The KidCapper!

Race-3 The :3: . Big scratch of the :5: in here sends me to outside runner for Stall here. Trainer is heating up as of late and excels with 2 year olds.(25%). The best of what's run in here. :3: :6: :4:

Race -5 The :5: . 3rd place in the Iowa Oaks at Prm last out. Amoss ships in for Maggi Moss at a 29% rate. Chance for a minor upset if the chalk isn't ready off the break. :5: :7: :1:

Race -9 The :4: . Scratch of the :3: leaves this pick with a favorable pace scenario in here. Can lead this group a long ways and a very nice price. Longshot stab at 12-1. :4: :5: :2:

Good Luck

Hoppin in with ya KidCap - nice job so far, let's hope the chalk fest ends.

Saez is likely to try to wire this paceless group on the #2 in the 4th with first Lasix. Going to be tough to run down as he can run both early and late.
Barn solid with 1st Lasix - gotta use the Pletcher :6: as well as the :5: :8:
What about the :1: , out of star Perfect Sting?

Race -10 The :5: . The Jim Dandy Stakes. Landed on the :5: here for Pletcher. Belmont Stakes winner has been working well over the surface for this off the freshening. :5: :2: :1:

I'll go 5-7-2-8

I have no idea if :5:Palace Malice is legit, but he certainly has the highest ceiling.
He could be a superstar in the making and a value @ 6-5. [or he could be right in the same group as these others]

I'll go down swinging with :7: Freedom Child, a horse I was sky-high on before his too-bad-to-be-true Belmont stakes. @ 15-1 he's worth an add in otherwise chalky trio.

:2::8: round out the field as proven horses.
