According to a new ranking compiled by Forbes magazine based on factors such as lower percentage of total costs borne by students or their families; higher four-year graduation rates; lower amounts of student debt incurred; greater number of "interesting" classes offered (however that was measured); and higher level of alumni satisfaction with jobs and income/professional success levels following graduation, Pomona College in Claremont, California (the oldest of the five Claremont Colleges -- one other of which (Claremont McKenna College) was the alma mater for both falconridge and yours truly) is now ranked #2 nationwide, behind only Stanford, and ahead of such luminaries as Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Harvard, and MIT.
