Race One:

:3: Currency Swap was a top pick even after the #5 was declared. Throw out his last at Prx. Has the class to prevail in this short field. Proper handling is all that's needed. :2: Saturday's Charm should be coming late. Looks like main threat.

Race Two:

:6: Seven Dreams has been the chalk in three of his last four. Again, lookls like the class to prevail here. :9: Tanglewood Tale should benefit from his outside post. :1: Voodoo Tales can be a factor from the wood. :5: Revealing Moment returns to a sprint; that should help.

Race Three:

:5: Silver And Onions has been a bridesmaid in his last two against similar. Today's the day! :6: Howie's Tiz could do little on a muddy track, last time. Catches dry surface. Can make amends for two beaten-fave disappointments. :2: King Of Broadway was jostled in his only start. Let's see what this Pulpit-bred colt can do. :1: Brabbham was third in his last in this company; sharp work.

Race Four:

:1a: Read The Research drops back into an optional claimer. Nuff Said!
:3: Nothing But Air is a Salt Lake-bred filly who won at first asking. Should contend. :6: Sweet Sway has an early turn of foot. Junior Alvarado must ration out speed. :7: So Blessed should come late.

Race Five:

:1: The Lady Says Yes is four for four in the money on the turf. "Yes," says the lady in her curt, chiasmic counter when asked if it's maiden-breaking time.
:10: Familyofroses was bumped at the start. Now draws outside and avoids traffic. Should lead to improved finish. :9: Prize Taker is my admitted long shot try. Hard to quantify; yet, she looks like she'd relish a distance of ground if she can handle the lawn. :3: Sophie's Turn was squeezed at the start. Switches to Johnny V. for Phil Serpe.

Oddly enough in R6 I have to go for the :1: Ella's Kitten because "it's my cats name". w/ :2: :4: :10:

Race Six:

I do declare I'm partial to Kitten's Joy-bred "turfers". Giant's Causeway is also a solid turf sire. This 3-year-old colt, :1a: Ella's Kitten, was acting like "The Lakeshore Limited" as it barreled north up the Hudson toward Albany; he finished a fast-closing third in his last. Appears to have adapted well to his new "digs" after crossing "The Pond" from The Emerald Isle. :8: Present Course did not run well on a yielding surface in his last; a chance to make amends. :2: Gridiron Great fits well and should be closing late. :4: Bernie's Best switches to "El Dominicano," Joel Rosario. That could make a big difference for this Mark Hennig-trained 4-year-old Silver Deputy-bred colt.

Race Seven:

:10: Surprise Squall is my upset try. Has been away for six months but if reasonably ready. :4: Fall Into Faith should benefit from stretching. :7: Fava won his last in this company. :1: Centrina has faced better; might get part.

Race Eight:

:3: Bad Hombre. John Velazquez is a "money" jockey; should rise to occasion. :1: Transparent looks like the main threat. :6: Cerro can carry his speed a long way.

:5: Proud Strike may be on the upswing after maturing. Fitting winner for Asmussen in the Curlin Stakes.

:6: Cerro has had some tough trips. He's no star but he's a solid allowance horse. Key horse??

:1: - upside but too many question marks to take such a low price, tossing.

Race Nine:

:12: To My Valentine cut back a shade and draws outside. Can surprise. :11: Ballistic Sue is a lightly raced mare who might add value. :9: Tiz Teresa will enjoy the cut back. :8: Miss Bracken could add value.

Race Ten:

:12: Amber Coast draws in. Has faced better. Can complete double. :11: Coach Royal very much a factor. :9: Mr. Algebra should not be ignored. :10: Oxford Street is a hunch play; a street in Springfield where my in-laws lived.

What bull that race was, so they tell me i get the post time favorite in the dbl/pk3/pk4 but not who my horse is. 2,000 difference between the 9 and 12, of course the 9 i guess was my horse. LIVID

12 had that made up with the difference in the place/show pool.

R10: favorite :11: COACH ROYAL is very solid for the exacta with a new drop after his good come back race. :8: SMOKE TOWN's got only on fine race, his victory first time turf. This gelding is half brother of REDEEMED, winner of the Brooklin Handicap, gr.2/12f, and Greenwood Cup, gr.2 12f. Therefore :8: SMOKE TOWN could have lot's of route ability, and Linda Rice is 20% off the claim

No time for paella. I just have my bankroll and my moral ready to attack Del Mar. Just black coffee to last until 4 am (Europe time) ja! ja!
