Since the PA Moderators often link theads of a similar nature, I thought I would start this thread so that Just Ralph and his merry men could just post all there interesting threads under this one umbrella. Hopefully, the mods can move all the existing threads on the topic of "Evil Obama" into one thread. Should save some clutter.

Establishment liberals have either been silent or have cheered as Obama has stumbled over one disaster after another.
Obama should not get a pass for the same problematic policies that Bush was roundly criticized for.
Both of these Presidents from different political parties deserve to get the same treatment. It is only fair and just in the true American tradition. :)

I wonder if they(cons) will repeat their idiocy of this past election lead in and amazing fiasco on election night in November 2015 ? Will Rove still be re-employed by Fox to frantically UN-believe?

Probably not

Forget Barack Hussein Obama, there is a very real possibility his affordable care act may crash and burn long before the next election.

So sit on it.

There is usually a reason when I go on a posting binge. Sometimes it's pure sport, other times it's a result of private conversations etc. You can blame Apple. It would be nice to have only one thread, but I can't see it happening. The thrill is in posting the thread for continuous subliminal effects. The thread content is secondary, overlooking that the content is mostly garbage anyway. PA is in denial about the purpose of the postings when he points out that one is free to decide for themselves if they want to read these threads or not. The reality is that these threads are in our face when we search for new postings if we want to see them or not. I consider this nuance the price to pay for what otherwise is a good racing forum.

You act as if you're only interested in the racing part of this forum, and you're burdened by off-topic. I find that implausible. Why? You post in off-topic all the time. In addition, you can easily view "new" posts without clicking through on political topics.

There is a lot of things in off topic that are interesting. But the I hate Obama stuff is getting as old as was the religious stuff of Boxcar. Why not put in all in one thread like the religious stuff? It not like anyone here is going to change their mind because of something copied from Hotair.com or any other conservative or liberal site. That way I could just refer back to post 20 in an answer. It would save repeating the same stuff over and over again.

I seem to recall contrary your claim, LJB and I and SEC and a few others NEVER approached 1/10th the level of the 365/24/7 garbage parade of anti-Obama/Demj/Liberal venomous collection of posts that this board's political section has become now and is probably worse now then ever before.

The balance in numbers always has been in the cons favor. Maybe 3 to 1 and at times higher. There are few libs from that era remaining whereas the CORE righties remain and have only become more entrenched.

I find myself posting much less than before. Right after the election I enjoyed rubbing your noses in your royal ass whopping by Obama/Biden.

And something tells me I may yet enjoy that again come Nov 2015.

Get over yourselves already...and grow a pair...You do know we have had this very same conversation before. Neither of us can employ the rather limited search engine on this board to settle just how true your contention that this is simply a question of equivalency vs mine that the conservatives are way more prolific. So without demonstrable evidence, I am obligated to give my version of the Bush era PA off topic and how liberals here were more victims than perpetrators.

So if some one here dumps on Libs and ex lib posters as the ones to blame, IMHO a reminder of today's climate of non equivalency and way out of proportion Obama bashing is only fair.

Oops!, I almost said "fair and balanced" Good thing I did not or you would try to provoke me AGAIN in defending being a hypocrite for not condemning ALL of Fox Entertainment and not only Faux Noos. Simply because I recommended a new show that will be on the Fox Network that I thought might be worthwhile

Unfortunately Spiderman did not come up the idea for the "Religious" thread until 10/9/2011. It was one of the great improvements to this forum. I wished he had come up with it sooner. Just because he didn't come up with it until 2011 doesn't mean this great idea can't be adopt for frequent threads with the same bickering over the same topic. Great ideas are meant to be adapted and copied.

To all the Bush haters... who was Speaker of the House his last two years? Nanacy Pelosi.. the same woman who said "we need to pass a (2700 page of regulations law) so we can know what's in it... remember when the Dems took over the House and Senate things really started going down hill...

Don't even get me started on Obama... It will come out that the WhiteHouse was involved in the IRS scandal... and it Will Come out that Bengazi was a cover up.. and how long do we continue to give everyone that wants it "Free ***" before our economy completely collapses? Not to mention the Blatant Promotion of Racial tensions in his speeches! Which in 2008 Americans polled stated that we are on the "right track"..

Lastly, he wasn't even supposed to be on the ballot in Indiana 2008..

http://www.wnd.com/2013/04/jury-fraud-put-obama-on-08-ballot/

Among others.. one thing we will find out for sure... Obama.. probably one of the biggest conspiracy's in US History... And lastly, why is now almost every speech the flags are placed behind him and the camera angle makes it so it looks like they are angel wings?? Just curious..

You right and it was in one thread. The one thread idea work very well there. I suppose you rather I started 50 new threads.

Oh oh oh... I was teasing... my point is that if the problem is just repetition and redundancy, that's almost a requirement here at PA Off-Topic. No matter how many different topics are started about totally unrelated things, about 40% of them will eventually morph into an argument over the same things if they last long enough.

While I am grateful for Spiderman that he set out to get the scripture out of every thread whether it made sense of not, the best thing he did was create the most amazingly long thread in history that is pretty interesting.

But holy crap, it is the same thing over and over for miles of pages.

I just don't understand why you or anyone would get bent over how many threads are started about similar things but have no problem posting the exact same thing over and over in the same thread. I don't understand why anyone would get bent over any of that whether you posted something over and over wherever or not. I read every thread and cruise past about 90% of it because I know it is another back-and-forth between the same parties that has been rehashed 100000 times or another debate over the ratio of non-self-described "cons" versus non-self-described "libs" or whatever.

Who cares? :D

Ignore that little girl with painted face. You are correct. Obama has stated that very thing. Remember he said he was going to fundamentally change the USA? And read Saul Alinsky - the road map is to build a new infrastructure inside the existing one, then tear down the existing one.

Pretty much, and I don't think that it takes a genius to see what is happening right before our very eyes...Unless of course one likes what is happening to this once great nation.....Or they just refuse to relate to what is really going on, as something that will pass somehow without any real consequence....sure..

Here's a question for all you politicos. Is it possible, however remote it may be, that The POTUS is just a puppet and is just doing what he's told to do? The reason i say this is because many who wanted Romney to win are all about bashing Obama, but i can't imagine that if romney had won, he would have swept in and made things better....maybe he would have made things different, but better? I can't buy it....seems like we would have an entire new set of problems and there would be "i hate Romney" threads while all the Obama supporters would be saying that you made your bed with this slimeball, so lie in it.

Maybe the office of the President is just poisoned and no matter who's in office, the country won't be run with YOU in mind. It won't be run FOR you, it will be run for THEM and you'll just be an afterthought.

If the new guy (or gal) comes in in 2016 and its SSDD, we might have to revisit whether or not all these problems are actually Obama's fault or they're going to continue the rest of our lives regardless of who's in office.

It might take a lifetime to undo the damage Obama has caused. He has just about wrecked the coal industry in this country with taxes and regulations while squandering billions on failed Solar Companies.
Obamacare if fully implemented will wreck the healthcare industry.
He says he saved the auto industry while Detroit is bankrupt and GM is building factories in Mexico. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Does it matter who's POTUS. DAMN RIGHT IT DOES!

I think "you guys" are the ones who are really pissed off. You just can't seem to handle the fact that Obama won in 2008 and then came back again in 2012. You just can't seem to figure out how that could be possible. I mean really, how could a "Kenyan" rise to power. How could so many citizens vote for this guy? You seem very angry that your guys can't seem to get their act together. Anyone who shows even a modicom of compromise (Chris Christie) is chewed up and spit out as a Rino! Sad, really sad.

I have no respect for Obama for several reasons. Mostly his blatant lies. His cut throat manner that he denies, but practices. That fits with his personality and his followers. All lies. The man is an admitted drug user and dealer if you believe those around him at the time. He wears it as a badge of honor. He is all talk. He is going to go down in history as Jimmy Carter's 2nd coming.

Obama is a piece of trash masquerading as a statesman. It's so fake it's embarrassing. He is being laughed at world wide. We are on our way to a lost decade. Economically speaking. Yet he sits on his hands. Hurting his base more and more every day. They take it because they don't dare turn on him now. They are way too invested.

People die while he campaigns. People die while he plays golf. People look to him for leadership and all they get is a narcissistic stare fest who blames others for not allowing him to have his way. Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill look like mountains of leadership compared to this guy and his cabinet full of academics and donor paybacks. History will not be kind to this guy. Chris Christie has always been a left leaning Repub. He is against the 2nd amendment, (btw, this week he gets a bunch of new gun bills) he has been pro abortion, and changed his mind after his daughter was born.

He has a great attitude in my opine, but he is not a conservative by any means. Not even close.

I think you give him too much credit for being aggressive and ruthless. I'd at least give him some respect for honesty if he was like that, like Nixon or LBJ.

But Obama is essentially a sneak. Coming up in Chicago politics, he got ahead with dirty tricks and gaming the system. He won elections by getting his fellow Democrats disqualified from the primary ballots. He will go to any length to avoid making a decision, and especially to avoid going on the record as having a position. In the Illinois legislature, the guy has the all-time record for voting "Present" on bills. If you vote "Present", you can tell everyone that you didn't vote against their position.

His record as a US Senator was no better. He just reminds me of a sneaky little kid who avoids all of his responsibilities, and blames everything he does on all the other kids, and all the other kids' parents thinks he is an angel. Nothing is ever Obama's responsibility or his fault. Everything is the result of head winds or bumps in the road or tsumanis or the Arab Spring or energy crises or storms in the Gulf or hurricanes or uncooperative Republicans or the Supreme Court.

Now, in the fifth year of his administration, he has discovered that we have a poor economy because Washington has "taken its eye off the ball". The leader in Washington, the chief executive, the CEO of the country, has apparently returned from a 5 year vacation somewhere and discovered that, in his absence, Washington took its eye off the ball. Who took their eye off the ball? Don't know, it wasn't the president, he has been busy, focused like a laser beam on..., on..., well, on something. But the person or persons in charge of keeping their eye on the economic ball have screwed up, and now Obama is going to make heads roll.

Only 53 and so bitter you moved to Texas for the summer weather.

You've got yourself consumed with dislike for what? Nobody is taking your guns away. Nobody is raising your federal taxes. Nobody is coming after you from the government because of what you say here or anywhere else. These "lies" Obama is supposed to be guilty of. How have they affected you and the life you live? Other than the self-imposed move to Texas?

You sit here day after day talking about people becoming part-time workers because of Obamacare. How hard would it be for Republicans and Democrats to work out a solution to this possible unintended consequence? The problem is many Republicans don't want to find solutions. The problem is many Republicans today prefer that the country fail rather than work out sensible compromise with Obama.

The conservative media - especially FOX News - has seriously damaged this country's ability to work together for a better America. I think Jimmy Carter helps to illustrate my point. Sure, people were upset about a lot of things when Carter was in office but hate Jimmy Carter? No way. If anything, he was pitied by many for not being up to the job. Not so with Obama. He's blasted 24 hours a day on FOX News and on conservative talk radio which also seems to run 24 hours a day nowadays.

Nope. The pity has turned to hate and it didn't happen overnight.

Btw, I didn't move to Texas for just political reasons. My wife got a great job offer here. Just like she has a few offers now, and we are considering them.

We have decided we are going to try and slow down. Hopefully stay in Texas, just because we like it here and have family here. I have never lived somewhere that is more prosperous and teeming with energy. But, we are also considering some very lucrative offers in NC, SC and Florida. There's a job in Nashville too that might come about. Opportunities are all over the place right now. Lots of different variables to consider.

The decision will be made as final around Nov-December. Then we might move........and hoping to make one last move....1st stop Houston if we can work it out...........but as sure as I say that......you never know.........

I agree. By 2016 the coal industry will be dead, the electric power industry will be structurally changed for the foreseeable future, and electric power rates will be at the whim of the natural gas market. ObamaCare will be firmly embedded in the economy, with its legacy of higher insurance costs, poorer health care, increasing federal subsidies, and a major shift in the economy to part time jobs. The government will continue to grow, sucking up more and more resources to administer the ever-increasing bloat of public programs. (A word to the wise. Prepare yourself or your children for a job in government, or a job that involves dealing with the government, such as consultant, lobbyist, tax specialist, etc. That will be the top of the ladder for job security.)

According to the government's own numbers, 49% of Americans live in a household where somebody is dependent on federal assistance. A similar number pay no federal income tax. Many of the latter do pay payroll taxes, but get federal tax credits that more than compensate. There is no reason to doubt that both numbers will exceed 50% during the current administration, and no sign that the trend will be reversed.

The only question is, when do we run out of the next generation's money.

OK, Dr. Doom. Let's just stick with above quote for now. From CNN.com:

Government assistance expands

By Tami Luhby @CNNMoney (https://twitter.com/intent/user?screen_name=cnnmoney) February 7, 2012: 6:50 PM ET

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- More than one in three Americans lived in households that received Medicaid, food stamps or other means-based government assistance in mid-2010, according to a new report.

And when Social Security, Medicare and unemployment benefits are included, nearly half of the nation lived in a household that received a government check, according to the analysis of third-quarter 2010 Census data done by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, a libertarian-leaning think tank. That's more than 148 million Americans.

Those numbers are on their way up thanks to the Great Recession and its aftermath, which have pushed record numbers of people onto public assistance programs. In particular, the stubbornly high unemployment rate (http://finance.fortune.cnn.com/2012/02/03/long-term-unemployment/?iid=EL) has left millions of Americans in dire straits.

In 2008, one-quarter of people lived in households receiving a government lifeline and about 45 percent a government check, according to the Census Bureau.

Link: http://money.cnn.com/2012/02/07/news/economy/government_assistance/index.htm
_______________________________

So where to begin. Let's start with the fact that people paid into Social Security and Medicare. So who gives a shit that they are getting a check.

And then let's note that the cause is the Great Recession. Was that Obama's fault too?

Finally, the number was 45% in 2008 and 49% today. Were you predicting the end of the world in 2008 too?

Egyptian anti-Obama video goes viral, blames him for siding with Muslim Brotherhood

An example of the vitriol in the country can be seen in a new video clip featuring a song by Egyptian performer Sama Elmasry. Titled “You Obama, Your Father, Mother,” it attacks the US president for allegedly preferring Islamic radicals over the army. It has gone viral, with over 160,000 views since last week.

28% of intelligent people is much better than 55% of Kool Aid drinkers.
Fixed to reflect reality.

The difference between Obama and previous presidents like Bush and Clinton is that Obama continues to capture a cult of personality who believe that he can do no wrong.

Presidential job approval ratings in the past were always correlated with how people thought the country was doing. In a recent Time poll, only 33% said that the country was on the right track, but 48% approved of the job Obama was doing.

Which means that a lot of the faithful are buying Obama's buck-passing on his failure to lead. It is never his fault. There were bumps in the road, and a tsunami, and headwinds, and the Arab spring, and an oil leak in the Gulf, and all the time and effort it took him to kill bin Laden, and on and on. And let's not forget the #1 reason Obama can't get anything done. Survey says: The Republicans who are out to get him.

Any attempts to join in here on blaming the Republicans need to explain why the economy has shown more growth since the GOP took the House than when the Dems had a lock on both houses of Congress.

Well back in 1958 there were those who warned of what is becoming today

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZU0c8DAIU4
So, how well did Mr. Welch do with his ten predictions.

1. Greatly expanded government spending.
In 1958 Federal spending was 17.9% of GDP
In 2013 Federal spending was 16.7% of GDP
Not what I would call greatly expanded.

2. Higher and then much higher taxes.
In 1958 the lowest tax rate was 20% and the highest was 91%
In 2013 the lowest tax rate was 10% and the highest was 39.6%
39.6% is not higher than 91%.

3. An increasingly unbalanced budget.
This one is harder to pin down as the deficit fluctuates from year to year. The deficit for 2009 was 10% of GDP. That is way too high, but that was the height of the Great Recession. That figure has gone down and is projected to be 2.8% of GDP by 2018. That is close to the sixty year average.

4.Wild inflation of our currency.
The annual inflation rate in 1958 was 2.8%
The annual inflation rate in 2012 was 2.1%

5. Government controls of prices, wages and materials.
There are none.

6. Greatly increased socialistic controls over our economy and over our daily lives.
See five above.

7. Centralization of government and the disappearance of states.
Last I checked there were still fifty seven states and some of them like Florida and Texas and Arizona were being run by some pretty obnoxious characters.

8. More aid to and control of education.
There is certainly more aid and probably more control. I think those are good things up to a point. Local school boards should be able to make decisions concerning their schools, but local boards can't decide to discriminate against some students and in favor of others.

9. Propaganda by government that war is bad and peace is good.
Apparently Mr. Welch believes that war is good and peace is bad. That sitting in a wheelchair minus your legs is preferable to running around with two good legs. That children begging in rubble is better than those children attending a school.

10. Finally Mr Welch believed that our government was set on a course of appeasement to the Soviet Union and the communists.
There was no appeasement, there is no longer a Soviet Union and there is only one truly communist government in the world.

I wonder if Mr. Welch were alive today, and saw that none of his predictions came to pass, would he be embarrassed, or would he be clueless like you?

And a universal condemnation of anyone that criticizes Obama is not a bias? And what is the basis for this "outright bias" against Obama if it is not racist?

According to my dictionary, bias is an unfair preference for or dislike of something. My dislike of Obama is fair and objective. I dislike him because he is incompetent, naive and highly egotistical. I dislike him because he is purposefully turning this country into a European style "social democracy". I dislike him because he is increasing the power of the federal government at the cost of the liberty of its citizens. I dislike him because he is incompetent in dealing with the economy, foreign policy, and energy. I dislike Pelosi and Reid and most other Democrats for the same reason. And all of that dislike is fair, based on objective standards and not on personal feelings or emotions.

And I dislike the GOP "leadership" because of their lack of leadership in opposing the destructive policies of the left.

Hey Trotter started this thread, and I expressed my feelings and opinions just as so many others have about this topic.... and you don't like it.....Tough chit..

Do I have a slant/bias, hell yeah...because:

Our mothers and fathers, when we were young, admonished us about what we could and might become if we hung around with the wrong types of people long enough.....And any psychologist type would readily agree to this....So look at what we have here:

A guy whose family history is loaded with nurturing relatives who were known by their own admission as avowed Communists, and throughout his learning years he associated himself with self styled radical dissidents and commies, and his religious life in more recent times had him learning hate from a guy who makes no pretense at his hate and disdain for Ameirka....Not to mention his association with all sorts of other noted terroristic types of people along the way...

So what the F**k am I supposed to believe about your hero guy ?....What ?

Imo, he has become ,what and who he has associated himself with, and was influenced by, thru all of those years....And now he is charge of it all  ...

You see smarty pants, Momma & Poppa were right after all...And THAT, scares the F**K out of some of us.....You just don't see it, is all..

So, a full scale war, and occupation of a country, is as justifiable as acting upon intelligence which identifies known terrorist cells?

Ooooooohhhhhhhhh, it's the INTELLIGENCE that makes it different. I seem to recall a similar situation about Iraq that was acted upon and had the blessing of almost every Democrat in the Congress. Then later on when that intelligence was deemed to be inaccurate, the Democrat talking points changed. Somehow this "idiot" in the White House was able to trick all those smart Democrats. For a crowd that buys into the "phony scandal" stuff 0bama is campaigning on, for a crowd that rammed through a 2,700 page bill without reading it, for a crowd that basically kissed the asses of the IRS during the hearings and for a crowd that couldn't care less about the American deaths in Benghazi and Fast & Furious, do we not see the double standard here? How does that work? Or is it racist to discuss these things and expect honest answers and compliance with the investigations instead of stonewalling?

btw, maybe Obama should pay more attention to Afghanistan than Yemen - 72% of all US deaths there have occurred since he took over and dropped the ball.
Obama is a soldier's worst enemy.
He cold write a book "How to Snatch Defeat From the Jaws of Victory."
The man is a fool and our troops are dying because of his stupidity.

As I am reading this thread, I see an ad below it, with a pix of BO looking like Mussolini in pose, and the ad reads,
"STAND WITH OBAMA...Sign the Petition"
"Tell President Obama: You've got his back"

I didn't click on the site (sorry Mike) but, WTF is that about....Why is he still campaigning ? At least that is what it seems to me....:D

I think they are keeping a database of blind sheep so when he gives these campaign speeches they can invite them to the well screened crowd of cheering brain dead useful idiots. Perception is reality. Or at least that is what they want us to think.

He is campaigning. His primary goal right now is for the Democrats to regain control of the House in 2014. So he is out on the campaign trail promoting the party line and raising money for Democratic candidates.

Unless the Dems control Congress, there is no way Obama gets his agenda passed.

Well that seems to be the most feasible of answers....

But I gotta say, after dwelling on it a bit, that it seems that, true "narcissists" (of which I give BO full credit for being one), and wannabee emperors, seem to feed on that sort of stuff....They Need It...:D

So, a full scale war, and occupation of a country, is as justifiable as acting upon intelligence which identifies known terrorist cells?
Are you saying that these terrorists should be left alone because we are making more enemies should we attack them?
Cut Al Qaeda some slack so we can avoid pissing some people off?
Just wondering.....So now it's a question of scale? It's ok to do it on a small scale, but not a large scale, despite the fact that a large percentage of the Iraqi people supported the overthrow of Hussein.

We could argue this all day and night. But whether on a large scale or small scale, Obama is doing exactly what the left condemned Bush for doing.

Creating more enemies for the US by invading a sovereign nation (and flying an armed drone into Yemen airspace is an invasion) and killing their citizens...along with any collateral damage that results in the process.

How would you feel if Russia felt there were terrorists in Alaska and flew an armed drone over Anchorage and killed a dozen US citizens?

I've noticed that everyone tends to get excited come election time. What's the big deal about elections...if we "dislike" EVERYBODY?

Not to mention that this is plastered, unendingly, all over the TV.....Talk about propaganda for more "war"...

The "American Navy"...."A Force for Global Good"....yikes !...

Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, Clinton (x2), Obama (x2) - nothing but love on here for them  .
For the record, also, I would never wish harm on any Republican.
Especially the likes of Palin, or Bachmann.
They don't hurt the Democratic cause all that much.
