The hypothetical question presented at the end on behalf of a dead person speaks volumes to BO's stupidity. Talk about a non sequitur!

This article says there is actually a big difference between the law Obama backed and sponsored and Florida's SYG law.

And if he did, is it hypocritical or has he changed his stance? Does it become hypocritical because of the racial nature that the media took with this case?

people's opinions and beliefs change as time passes (well some people's do)

I think this is more him trying to score political points than his beliefs changing, but it's not always so cut and dry IMO

In 2004 Obama more than likely envisioned blacks benefiting from the law since blacks accounted for such a higher murder rate. More blacks would obviously stay out of prison using SYG as a defense. By now he realizes it's kept some out, but there are so many more on the streets by 2013 killing each other that it hasn't made a difference in the rate of blacks going to prison. In fact, it's actually higher. So a white man in a high profile case appears to benefit from it, time to get rid of it.
