9th@Mountaineer: 6F Clm5000N2Y ~ purse $9,000 ~ 7/23/13
(Non-winners of Two races in 12 months)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two horses drop from N3-12mo.,& 2 return from Layoff. One new face.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) American Classic (8/1 ML)~ 9YO shows Smokin' 4F Bullet
work off 9mo. layoff, but three races since claim dull. Inside Speed.
2) Easy Gallop (6/1)~ Improved 3rd second off private purchase.
Had been speed type, off pace last few. Tri/Super BCS?
3) Hail To The Chief (12/1)~ 6YO adds 110Y,Beyers say "Neigh".
4) Avoid (2/1 ML Fave)~ 5YO Drops from N3-12mo.,& looks like
controlling speed. Only Chink in Armor: 1/10 @6F distance.
5) Pennant Chase (4/1)~ Louisiana Invader won in nifty fashion
two back, Beyers solid fit. Will likely be middle moving into speed.
6) Love Connection (15/1)~ Turf-2-Dirt & return to Chester,WV.
Solid rider takes reins, but IMO Tri/Super BCS.
7) Im Good At That (20/1)~ Three straight speed & fade tries
at this level after 3 straight 2nds. Hard to like unless 1,4 scratch.
8) Goaltogoal (20/2)~ 8YO returns off 8mo. layoff + One 3F Work.
Drops from N3-12mo. condition, but i can't endorse here.
9) Evan's Emerald (6/1)~ 9YO has been part of Tri/Super at this
level last three, solid rider sticks. Must-Use under in verticals.
10) Sarge's (6/1)~ Ten-Hut! 6YO almost scored @Bookie-Buster
odds in last, 3rd vs. ML fave two back. Will be Flying late.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: On paper, only 3 runners w/Early Lick: 1-4-7.
#1 returns off Layoff; #7 has been stopping; #4 Drops in class.
The Woolworth runners would love to see a suicide speed duel.
I Can't AVOID ML Fave here, will single in DD/P6 action.
Good Luck to ALL, & see you at Night School!

8th@Mountaineer: 8F Cml5000N2Y ~ purse: $9,700 ~ 7/23/13
(Non-Winners of Two races in 6 months)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five of Eight in field ran in 7th/8th @Mountaineer July 5th.
While 4 of those are major players,2 other crazy bombs interest.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Brickyard (7/5 ML Fave)~ Steps Up from N3-12mo. condition
but was visually VERY impressive in last, winning under hand ride.
If runner doesn't bounce or have traffic issues, tough right back.
2) King Harry (15/1)~ Speed&Fade at this level last out, Rivera
may try to go to stalking tactics here. Tab 4YO for later, softer.
3) Ellenberger Park (6/1)~ 5YO added front bandages last out
& loses Pilares to Fave. Plenty solid back Beyers, Under key.
4) Linda's Candy (20/1)~ 5YO Mare faces boys. Needs Lead,
won't get it here. Look for Linda back vs. Own Sex next 14 days.
5) Copper Castle (12/1)~ Respect Connections. May work out
ideal stalking trip on 220Y stretchout. Crazy Bomb #1.
6) Swap Up (8/1)~ New aggressive rider noted off dull try
nine nights ago.if Wayne scratches, move WAY up.Crazy Bomb #2
7) Wayne The Train (3/1)~ Took full advantage of rail draw in
last good race, but will likely have to work harder early from this
post, vs.2-5-6 runners. 3lb. break vs.Brick here. Underlay @ML odds.
8) Harpers Land (6/1)~ Tough as they come, 7YO makes 12th
start of 2013! Draws terrible post, loses Lumpkins. Must-Use under.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: Brickyard is a deserving Fave, & i think will be able
to beat runners from July 5th races (2-3-7-8), in part due to post
drawn. The Mare is overmatched. That leaves my crazy Bombs,5&6.
i'll use 1-5-6 in Pick-4, 5-6 in Late DD. 3-7-8 solid 'under' keys.
