That is Beck's old spot. As I remember he did pretty well in it. The interesting thing is that Hannity loses almost 1 million viewers from Bill. That is a drop off a third of Bill's viewers. I would never guessed anywhere close to that number. I don't if that says more about Bill or Hannity. Probably more about Bill. He is riding high now with his two crossover popular books about the killing of Lincoln and JFK.

I'm conservative but my problem with comparing ratings is that Fox is the only major conservative biased news source available versus the plethora of liberal leaning sources who divide up that viewing base. If we are to assume 44-48% of the population is conservative then they should pound the big 3 liberal networks in viewership on a program level.

Probably because O'Reilly is a clown, but his show is at least watchable and is even enjoyable sometimes. Hannity, who may very well be a wonderful human being, is impossible to suffer through from start to finish. Hell, just making it to the first commercial break is nearly impossible. I'll watch Maddow before him.

Somewhat related, I saw a poll recently that showed more people trusting The Daily Show than MSNBC for news, even amongst Democrats. MSNBC is the real cartoon network.

That's the poll Ralph has linked just above. The irony is that Democrats are the only ones that consider either the Daily Show or MSNBC to be news shows.

Did you notice that Democrats don't think FOX has anything to do with NEWS?

Piers hasn't been on CNN for awhile now. How did he make that list?

I consider the source of the opinions and find nothing surprising.

Objectively, four of the top six shows (all Fox) are not news show, they are opinion shows. All six MSNBC shows (at the bottom) are opinion shows. The CNN show at the very bottom is about gossip. How anyone could remotely consider the Daily Show (on the Comedy Channel, hint, hint) to be news is astounding. The rest I am not familiar with.
