While some posters linked to a case where an ex-wife went and shot at her old man's house, this case linked above is a LOT more similar....
but see how the state and jury handled it there.

The one key factor I see missing is the shooter was not assaulted like Zimmerman was.

Aw shit. This case is terrible! I feel awful for this guy. He got his buttons pushed, but made the legal mistake of leaving his home with the gun. Legally he had the right if they tried to enter without permission. Would like to know why the ones who were against conviction changed. We all know jury rooms can get testy. Morally, I think the guy was right. Legally, uck!

What matters is the how the Law enforcement looked at the case in the different jurisdictions.
