Racing from Dubai

Apparently New York City OTB is foregoing the presentation of ANY racing from Dubai this year. Instead it will present a Magna program previewing upcoming Magna races each morning. Can't wait to learn more about Magna while missing the Dubai World Cup, Golden Shaheen and other stakes from Dubai. What a shame!

How about this happening on today's card from Dubai. A horse wins the race but upon the jockey Tim Durkan "weighing in" after the race, he was found to have not carried the proper weight. The horse was immediately DQ'd before the race was made official. I can't remember hearing about any similar happening here in the States. In fact, some racetracks here have a "quick official" before the jockeys do "weigh-in."
