Golden Gate R1 No3 Bonnies Kaper (3) - Lightly raced improver resuming from a spell today. Looks to have natural speed advantage that will see it go forward early and dictate pace without too much pressure from 4 others engaged. 1st up at 1st career start won MC$12.5K when led wire to wire over 5f to score by 4l with good margins through the field. Winner now 2 of 5 in short career and looks to have the neccessary class edge and upsdide to win here. Excellent trainer percentages across 3 spheres of relevance and gets a high percentage jockey for resumption. Should go wire to wire against these.
Golden Gate R6 No2 Great White Father (3) - Hard to dismiss the chances of the gone West gelding here. Comes into this race dropping sharply in class after shipping in from Santa Anita. 3rd up now and gets back to dirt after 1st and 2nd up efforts on turf. Trainer carries 25% turf to dirt win ratio. Go on good MC$25K win 3 back at end of last prep when set very good early 93/100 sectionals and then kicked in the stretch to record a final overall speed figure of 90 and win by a neck. In the 'sell zone' now and should go wire to wire here with a big class edge. Biggest certainty of the day so far.
Golden Gate R7 No2 Heavenly Humor (3) - Lightly raced improver by Distorted Humor (son of Forty Niner) from a Phone Trick mare who has now won 2 from 3 in short career. 2nd up now and fitter after 1st up win by 5l when sat 1-2 off the pace setters before closing hard over the stretch to get home with big margins back through the field. Well drawn here today and does look well suited and likely to continue to improve here today. Gets hot jockey last 7 days, high % trainer and high percentage jockey. Freshened since last win and can make it three from four here now. Definitely the hardest to beat and worth the punt despite the likely short odds.
