The 7 horse in the 1st at AP, ran 2nd, looked like a pony next to the other horses.

I just watched the replay and I agree. Coming down the stretch it looks like a high school kid running against an adult. Kind of cute. A for effort.

Megahertz, a famous west coast "peanut" graded stake turf horse was the smallest good horse i've seen.

Her son Causeithertz, who is by Giant's Causeway, is also small like his mom and is still racing on the west coast i believe, he's in the Baffert barn.

Northern Dancer was not a very big horse either , about the same size as seabiscuit .

When Vallee Enchantee won the 03 HK Vase, she was just barely above 800 pounds. Compare that to Curlin who i think topped near 1400 pounds at one point.

Haha, looked funny. I don't know physicality well, but to me it looked like his stride was a little weird like the front legs weren't striding apart from each other that well. Like short strides. May be why he lost in the stretch.

The Jockey Club insists there is a rule forbidding horses to be registered under a certain height but it seems like I've seen some horses at places such Charles Town that barely meet that threshold.

It sure looks like it, but it's real. The horse weighs 3,200 lbs and is named Brooklyn Supreme. He stands at 19.2 hands. He lived from 1928 to 1948. Source link.
