What was his tag line?

"You're going to like the way you look.

I guarantee it."

In the original commercials, he said it in the creepiest way possible. Sounded like something from Silence of the Lambs or Criminal Minds.

Oh, wait, are you referencing the shooter in Florida?

Very Good! That's the one. Though I don't want the clothing man to suffer any quilt by quasi-assocation. But as an outside observer, I can't understand why he's pushed out like this.

It may get interesting. I guarantee it (just the 'may' part.)

His support for the "Occupy" movement finally caught up with him.

Lost lots of customers

I suspect Health is the unstated reason.

Nope - follow-up press release out - disagreement with the Board about the direction of the company.

When they hung the signs supporting Occupy in their store windows, they chose their side

Men's W has performed very well from a fundamental prospective over the past few years, arguably better than J Banks.

Nope - follow-up press release out - disagreement with the Board about the direction of the company. We see in a year or so. I seen this happen a lot over the years, 90% of the time it is health, but health is never the stated reason.

Given his age, I'm sure he has some health issues, but that isn't the reason why this happened. He was TERMINATED. If he had failing health he would have resigned.
